Best wheel powdercoating spots??

Tried searching and didn’t have much come up. So far best price I found I think is this place called millennium powder coating in Burnaby . They quoted me $350 plus tax for the whole set. To do a set of 19’s gloss black .
Anyone have experience with powder coating spots and how good they come out looking ? Are all of these powder coating spots basically the same and the wheel basically comes out the same ? Or are some of them lower quality ? Thnx Inadvance.

This place is legit. They also have another shop, Superior Powder Coatings in North Van. I am a repeat customer. After having gone through a majority of the powdercoating shops in the Greater Vancouver Area, they really do the best quality work at a "good" price. Remember, with powdercoating car parts, you really don't just want to settle on a shop just because they have the lowest price.

There IS a difference in quality. A painter who is careless can miss spots when coating. It's happened to me.

Is that price assuming that you have done the prep work?

No, actually that was just the price for the powder coating. But I will check out the shop you suggested thank you very much .

if you're a picky guy, i'd recommend blasting them somewhere, then inspecting them yourself before taking it to the paint shop. blasters are doing 95% industrial jobs, so they are not as picky as you might be. just take some 200 grit sandpaper and whatever little bits you can feel with your hand, just give it a light sanding. this step is pretty crucial in my opinion if you expect the job to come out really well.

once you've done this in all the important spots, then take it to the powdercoaters. as cdv said, it does matter where you go with coating. how picky the owner and workers are is going to directly affect how good the job is.

Dave's powdercoating in Langley just did my wheels and its one of the best I've seen for powdercoating. Super thorough about everything and cost pretty good. the place isn't really what you would expect, it's a shed in his yard, but the results are insanely good. $700 with chemical strip, sand blasting, powdercoat, including taxes for every part of the wheel, inside, on barrel, etc.

Is that the guy who advertises on Craigslist? I’ve emailed with them back and forth, plan to use them in the future for the next set I get done
