saw the thread title and thought it'll be Acura604 that posted it. :lol

both cars are long due for an upgrade, it'll be nice to see what they did to remain competitive.

beat me to it.

.... next car for me.... has to be electric... so unfortunately the days of owning a Type S again may have ended.

Yarg. I don't like acuras design language. Almost as bad as Lexus gaping mouth.

The Honda lineup looks better and more sedated.

I haven't really liked the Acura designs since the beak came out. Last good design was the tsx. Now it's just weird with the tlx where it's compact and not really mid size.

What about the current gen RDX? I think that thing looks real good esp in A Spec trim. I see a ton of them in the lower mainland

I don't think these segments will be that popular going forward when these will require premium gas at $1.70. Electric cars will keep on getting better and the price will come down to the same as these and it would be a no brainer what most people would pick.

07-08 TL-S 6spd is when Acura was on its prime days. Dont think they will ever become that level again in terms of their regular sedan segment. Clean example ones still look good today.. ahead of its time design

twitchyzero 07-13-2019 12:45 AM

nah: yep RDX being a gas hog is a dealbreaker

jpark: agreed i remember being impressed by the european/upscale design circa 2004
but for nostalgia old school appeal the ua5 a-spec is a bit more special
fun fact they were built in US and but imported to japan as the Inspire

Digging the ambient lighting!

Not too sure about the TLX design.. little bit of Accord + ILX merged together. Really curious to the final specs for TLX Type S though! :considered:

Does Acura have any hybrids? I really haven't been following them. Just the hybrid option alone will make me choose Lexus over Acura. And the bad automatic transmissions still worry me.

Really looking forward to the TLX redesign, I just hope their turbo 6 isn’t horrid on gas mileage like the new T4 in the RDX.
