Rock Chip Claim Denied?

Anyone know if your windshield rock chip claim can be denied? The reason why I ask is because my tires are melted due to track. Since track days are not covered under insurance, should I just swap to my OEM wheels?

TIA

They don't even ask questions unrelated to the windshield. They walk outside with you to the car look at the chip and confirm if its repairable or if they have to replace the windshield, they go over the fact it may still spread after repair. I've had 2 done in 2 months. The only thing they enter is what date the event occurred, most of the time I just guessed a date cause I don't always know when the actual chip occurred.

Rock chip repair is free now, correct?
Last time i had my windshield replaced, i just asked the ICBC glass guy down the street. He took care of my paper work and only asked me for the date of incident. The shop is Express Valet tho, if that made a difference.
I can only assume that your date of incident can't be more than 2 years ago, like other icbc claim repairs. My procrastinating ass waited over a year to do it, and it worked lol. But of course, no one is gonna question a rock cjip rhat could have happened last week on the highway

Yes, its free up to $75/claim and I think each chip is considered $25.

they just take pictures of your windshield damage and your odometer

I replaced 2 windshields within a week and just paid my deductible for each time

They are pretty anal now and won't cover OEM glass however.

True. Unless if OEM is the only option available - I was fortunate in this regard when I had mine replaced.

Yeah when I did 2 windshields in a week (2017 - this was when i first got the e46 and ironically as I was getting it I got a crack in the daily), they only could get OEM glass for the E46 and the civic

Thanks for the input, everyone!

They only time I got a rock chip claim deny is when I try to claim a windshield chip that has been there for years. They check and discover that i only had the car under insurance for a few months.

It was denied.

Moral of the story dont lie on your claims and you will be alright.
