Researching Real Estate Developers

Hey guys, when looking for condos, how do you look up developer reputations?
Is there an online forum that reviews properties/developers? Rennie, Polygon etc.

I'm looking at a few condos right now and noticed that one of the condos has >6 units currently on sale at the same time, relatively new too. I'm hoping to find out somehow if there are issues with the actual property.

This would be an incredibly useful information. As far as I know, Westbank Corp had some misses on some of their developments, but that's the extent of my knowledge

If you dig around there are some pages in the real estate thread where this was discussed a bit I remember a few years back

ask the realtor; even the awesome ones eg// Concord made some bad investments many yrs back (they co-developed; and it was extremely bad. someone who lived on the top floor would have to take 2 separate elevators to get to their suites). Since that incident; they never co-developed again).

There are also times when prop. mgmt team makes a huge difference too.

6 units on sale / how many total units?

my building has 300+ units, there are 5-10 on sale at any given time.

6 units on sale at the same time is nothing new regardless of how old/new the building is. When buying anything in a strata your realtor will/should be requesting for strata minutes as well that way if there are any known issues it would be stated on there.

My wife attended a speech by westbank's owners. They pride themselves on architecture and design and leaving a lasting legacy through those means. However, every one that i know that has owned a westbank condo before has said that they are disappointed in the quality of the interiors (at least in comparison to the design).
