4k TV and Receiver
 

Been looking to buy for a month but honestly im confused between OLED and QLED (55inch). I know i want to stick with Samsung and Visions have some sweet deals. Any advice would be nice. Also will be needing a new receiver as well to handle 4K devices

QLED is Samsung’s quasi answer to OLED, not as good quality and the tech behind it isn’t nearly as impressive. QLED still relies on LED back lighting which is a huge step down from your true OLED.

IMO if you want the best sets out now you’re going LG or Sony

bought the 65'' of that and the sport mode is amazing for hockey.

i was one of those "1080p blu-ray looks amazing already why waste my money for 4k" crowd..
till i actually watched true 4k and was like WTF....this is amazing..

4k OLED is almost as big of a step from 1080 than DVD was to Bluray imo, slightly less but the quality of the image is a significant step
