Hnnnnggg, can't wait for the Subaru Version if there is one. But, i'm tepid because they always disappoint from the hype.

I still haven't seen a Rav4 Prime yet. I wanted one, but in the end, I didn't want to wait and got the XSE Hybrid.

I love it. It actually has capability of going all electric for extended periods of time if you take it easy on the throttle.

JDMDreams 03-23-2021 08:21 AM

^ what's the mpg you're getting? Did you get raped by the finance rates?

VR6GTI 03-23-2021 11:35 AM

Xse hybrid I get 6.2-7.2 really depends on weather and I park mine outside
Right now $50 gets me 700kms

wing_woo 03-23-2021 11:55 AM

I average around 6.2-6.8 l/100km on mine.

I payed cash. They actually gave me way more for my trade in than I expected. It was actually higher than black book value and was above the amount I told myself that I would take if they offered that. They gave me $4K over black book, and then on top of that, I get the tax benefit of the trade in. However, that was still lower than the asking they put it out on the lot for, but saves me the hassle of trying to sell it.

What did you trade in?

From anecdotes and other people's experiences, Toyota doesn't want to budge much on price, but for some reason they are willing to fudge on the trade in prices.

An acquaintance recently let known that he got 71.5k trade in offer on his low mileage 2018 M3 at Toyota.

I have no idea. I just found out by accident. I thought it was cause it was in ECO mode. However, it does that in Normal mode too.

As for my trade in, I traded in a Sienna. I have a feeling they offered that because there are people that want a new Sienna but either can't afford the Hybrid or would prefer a V6.

lilaznviper 03-24-2021 10:55 AM

for people that have the hybrid, do you keep it in normal mode or eco mode?

Avg about 7L/100km with winter tires on. just swaped out to the all seasons so should see some better fuel economy

Makes sense, used Siennas are still priced pretty high. My parents were looking at them at OpenRoad Toyota and found that a 2-3 year old Sienna was only $5k cheaper than a brand new one with similar specs. Pretty crazy how much they've retained in value.

I think so. You can even do it on the smallest Prius C. Though if you even breathe on the throttle too hard the gas engine will kick into life.

I worked at Evo for awhile and drove them lots.

Most hybrids can do this.

I drive in ECO mode. I don't drive aggressively anymore so it doesn't really make a difference to me. I haven't done any road trips or too much highway driving but regardless what mode, if you floor it, it'll still take off and give you power.

Yes. I agree. When I originally bought my Sienna new, I was looking at a used on. I think it was 2 years old and it would have ended up being more expensive than the new one I got. Same trim and stuff too (SE). I got cash incentives and all that and ended up getting about $4K off and the used one ended up being more expensive (at least the sticker price on it as I didn't go into negotiating for the used one so don't know how much discount I could have negotiated).
