Help with a pin locked S7
 

Hey guys

Came across my last phone I replaced with an S9 about 1.5 years ago. Wanted to get it wiped and use as a backup or give to family/friend...

Problem is it's pin locked, I've tried all my usual pins, everytime it makes me wait 1 hour before I can try another.

The phone is connected to my wifi, emails are coming in. Google find my device will find it, but all I can do is erase or secure it, which I don't think is the solution.

I have read that I have to use Samsung find my mobile to unlock it, but it can't locate my phone for some reason.

Any advice?

There's no way to get around it. You'll have to do it through Google or manually hard resetting it by holding the volume up (or down) + the power button on boot.
