Part of me loves records like this, but part of me knows how stupid dangerous this to do this on public roads. It's like one of those boners you shouldn't have.

Hondaracer 12-03-2019 01:41 PM

Fuck average of 103MPH with a max of over 190 Jesus

Badhobz 12-03-2019 02:03 PM

That’s insane! This will eventually end with multiple fatalities and anyone else who tries this again will be locked up like war criminals.

It won’t stop until somebody kicks the bucket in a very very bad way.

VinWiki guy has been doing these for years, pretty nutty setups they have in the cars to fool cameras, trigger lights, and listen in to police radios. I can’t get over that average including stops, beyond insane

What was the previous record? Driving over 27 hours without getting stuck behind shitty traffic is probably the most mind boggling part of it to me lol.

To me it'd be more impressive without a bunch of assistance and changes made to the car, but then to me driving 27 hours straight on highways sounds like the worst possible way to spend 27 hours in a car so I'm not really the target audience for this kinda thing.

The last record was 28 hours and 50 minutes by Ed Bolian and Dave Black in 2013.

so did Jackie chan kick any ass this time?

Alright now I'm more impressed, that's a lot of time to beaten it by. For some reason I was thinking the difference was only a few minutes or something.

The guy said that he didn't want to beat it by minutes because then he knows others will try to beat it, and therefore attempt this stupid and dangerous act.

It's crazy the length they went to though.

This is like celebrating the drunkest guy to drive home from the bar. Congratulations for risking countless lives for internet points. Thanks for helping them achieve their goal op

GS8 12-04-2019 04:26 PM

27 hours?

So, like driving from North Van to Chilliwack on a Friday afternoon?

nsx042003 12-04-2019 05:26 PM

Cannonball runs have been happing since the invention of the car.

Here is all the media coverage Ed got when he broke the record.

History of the run

I've done the drive 15 years ago... 45 hours in a rental car... lol... best road trip I've done so far. It's a tough one though, I think I'll only do it one more time if I can find someone willing to... lol... These days, I stick with my 20 hour drives to Vegas twice a year.
