Not saying this is right, or if you're in the same department,

but Impark Finance does accounting work/statements for their landlords (the owners of the parking lots they managed),

so sometimes an $100 error in additional expense/revenue because of a mistake is scrutinised because they are technically handling someone else's money (like a bank)

Doesn't help that Impark takes a cut, if anything is off, it could potentially raise "fraud" concerns, and Impark will loose the business

Time to report back a year later since last post. What has changed since last post to present date, a shit load has changed and still changing.

- Covid laid off a lot of junior staff, now they are chopping up the managers (which doesn't quite make sense as they are already busting out 80-90 hours a week, then they get given the big FUCK YOU 2-week notice). Staff shortage already, so getting rid of managers that are doing all the extra work from senior to junior level just don't get the logic. They aren't replacing these managers either, so the work gets dumped to everyone else that's already swamped.

- All financial functions being outsourced out to cheapo labor countries. Been told the entire team could be donesies by end of this calendar year. Will need to consult legal advice if I get cut as apparently they try to not pay the proper severance unless you take legal action against them (which doesn't make sense either, why they are even wasting money for legal fees when they should do the right thing in the first place). Fucking idiots?! They probably think people will just accept what is given and sign?

- Organization going through deep ass restructuring and it's become a shit hole because its created a shitty work environment where people don't even know if they'll have a job the next day. Literally could show up and they'll give you the big FUCK YOU out the door. You could be the hardest worker and still get booted. The vibe and tone is super negative at this point as the people I've worked with, they have become some amazing people as you build the relationship with.

At this point, would you guys search for new job and take a new job if you get it (leave on your own). Or wait till they boot your ass and they pay you out some severance?

Honestly I told myself I would give myself a year working here and then start looking for new job again when I started in 2020. Although life circumstances has changed, I have a mortgage and getting married next year (these didn't come into the picture in 2020). Kinda feel like stuck in this shit hole lol

That doesn't sound great. At the same time though, I can only imagine how covid has basically decimated impark's financials the past 1.5 years.

Leaving on your own terms is always a better experience than getting shown the door. And looking for work while employed is a lot less stressful than being unemployed. It's a no brainer.

Ugh... the update sounds horrible. I'm sorry it is happening like that.

IMO, it would be noticeably better if you can land a new job and quit on your own -- but only if you have found that new job first. You may not care about burning bridges at this point, but if you can set your mind to find that next job, I think your attitude towards your current job at Impark would also change significantly for yourself as well. Essentially, you wouldn't give a shxt about any pressure or negative stuff they throw at you since you know you're gonna leave anyway. It doesn't mean you're gonna do a sloppy job at work, but you won't need to impress anyone, and that always make work life easier.
