Such sad news. I loved watching myth busters.

According to a report published today (July 14) by The Hollywood Reporter, Imahara died suddenly following a brain aneurysm.

A representative for Discovery Channel, which produces MythBusters, said in a statement last night (July 13), “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”

An electrical engineer and roboticist by training, Imahara joined MythBusters in its third season and was a co-host until 2014 when he departed the show along with hosts Kari Byron and Tory Belleci.

The trio came together again in 2016 for Netflix’s White Rabbit Project which ran for just one season.

MythBusters host Adam Savage tweeted, “I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years… Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”

Wow, that is much too young. Really enjoyed his segments, he seemed to genuinely be interested in the experiments. RIP

The article mentions "suddenly".
Was that literally, like no signs of him being sick beforehand? If so, that's scary.
Life can be so short. Enjoy it to the fullest while you can.
He passed away way too young.

Yea, with brain aneurysm generally there aren't any signs.

This upset me greatly last night.

He was one of the few Asian males on TV, who didn't portray a stereotype.

RIP Grant, too soon.

RIP... this one really hit close to heart.

He was my favorite host in MB. And I went on to read more about him and his work. As good as a TV personality he is, he was truly talented, especially in the robotic field as well as his work with greatest sci-fi (imo) like Matrix series during his tenure at ILM and work on the R2D2!!!

He's like the grown up version of Data from The Goonies
