Both cases probably would have been resolved by looking up a review. That’s also just ignorant consumerism as the standup units with the most BTU with the lowest price are -always- going to be loud.

Straight to the dump they go!

Razor Ramon HG 09-06-2021 02:48 PM

Going to wait for them to show up on openbox.ca

If only somehow we can buy those AC units they have in Asia. The ones you mount on the wall. They're super strong and quiet too.

If you're talking split systems, they are available here.

Ordered this online, but shipping was taking longer then I had expected. So I called in to see if I could get it shipped to the island where I was going to be to put my boat away for the year.

The lady couldn’t help me, but she did say they were possibly showing stock in Langley. I call the store, yup 13 in stock.

I get there, $49.97!!! I bought 2. Hahaha felt like such a score.

MG1 09-20-2021 06:44 PM

The “spread eagle” tables are back in stock and on sale. $19.99. About 20 left at Willingdon

If anyone is wanting all season tires Costco has some pretty good rebates right now, just picked up a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires for just under $205.00 a corner taxes in ($130.00 instant rebate) it looks like there is going to be a major winter tire shortage so don't get caught if you are wanting to upgrade.

Wow, Costco Bellingham is making some nice changes. Starting off with a Costco Carwash. They broke ground and are working on the supply lines (water and electrical). On the way out today, I noticed something interesting. Drove up to it and realized it's a tire filling station. Two pumps where you just dial in the psi you need and the station beeps and stops once the target is reached. Same system they use in the tire shop. And yes, it's nitrogen, gulolol.

Also, I notice after two years of it being in place people still don't get the LED pump icons at the top of the entrance to each island. They are either lit red or green. Red means the pumps are being used. Green means a spot is available. I don't know how many times I've had to get out of the car to tell people to move forward into those spots. It's a great feature, but nobody seems to get it. In any case the gas at Costco is always cheapest in the area. Not even close. Even after the discounts you get at Fred Meyer and the casinos. Plus, it's Top Tier gas, gulolol. Gas was $4.99/gallon for regular grade on Monday.

Forgot to mention. Chicken Bake from the deli - so good. I even purchased two boxes of the frozen ones.

MG1 - do you know if the gas pumps now take the digital Costco cards or do I still need my physical card? I always keep forgetting to bring my physical card so I haven't gone to get gas since pre-pandemic.

MG1 06-23-2022 03:17 PM

I have no idea. I always have my card with me. If I forget the Executive Card, I have the Costco Mastercard as a backup. I see this red scanning thing blinking on the pumps. Could that be the reader? Best to call them.

Gerbs 06-23-2022 07:18 PM

Debating if I should buy the wet vac at costco for $80. Regret not getting it for $50 awhile back to vacuum interior of car.

MG1 06-23-2022 11:24 PM

From my experience, you cannot beat a Ridgid shop vac from Home Depot. The one's sold at Costco are sub par. Not everything at Costco is great. In fact, most non food items at Costco are not anywhere near good to best quality. Cheap, maybe, but that's about it.

Just my two bits. With Ridgid, you can get replacement parts and accessories, while anything from Costco not so much.

And, the Ridgid shop vacs at Home Depot go on sale once in a while. Black Friday, Labour Day, Boxing Day, Fathers Day, etc.......

Just an example, I was pretty tired of things being blown around by the exhaust. Diffuser from Home Depot. Problem solved. HEPA filter? Yup, they carry various types of filters. Accessories like special attachments, all available at Home Depot. I have three Ridgid vacs at home. Some as old as 20+ years. At work (when I was still working) Ridgid took helluva beating, like dropped down stairs and loading docks, lol. Still works. Just have to red green it.

Haha......... just remembered an incident that happened at the processing plant I worked at. These two fellas got into an argument in the lunch room Fight ensued. one guy fell backwards onto a Ridgid shop vac. The vac top came apart. The other guy picks up the hose with the top still attached, He swung it around hitting the side of the building and other objects. Long story short. I was supervisor/crew chief. I made sure management didn't find out about the altercation. The two combatants were brothers, lol. Only brothers would fight like that. The Ridgid shop vac......... survived.

Razor Ramon HG 06-24-2022 12:38 AM

I bought this Ridgid one last year for $79 on sale.

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/rid...ies/1001180148

One of the best things I've ever bought. Just make sure you get the car cleaning kit, which for some reason is more expensive than the vacuum itself, lol.

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/rid...ums/1000527675

There's this one if you don't mind having something larger. It comes with the kit itself. You save $20 versus buying it separately.

Hondaracer 06-24-2022 06:08 AM

Rigid are probably preferred over the Costco one, agreed

I find however when using the Hepa filters, overtime you blow the motors fairly regularly. I bought a brand new rigid one when i started my renovations and ended up blowing the motor about a year in after vaccuming my attic out, drywall dust, etc. it’s too much work to hang out the filter all the time. However you’ll hear the motor sound different indicating it’s definitely time to bang it off

68style 06-24-2022 06:37 AM

What do you do when Mrs. Hondaracer makes a similar sound?

TOS'd 06-24-2022 06:44 AM

you use the LSA

MG1 06-24-2022 09:26 AM

While we’re on the subject of shop vacs, anyone try this thing?

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

HD12A High Efficiency 12-inch Diameter Dust Separator with 2.5-inch x 36-inch Hose in Orange

Lol, I’m everybody’s friend………..

blkgsr 06-27-2022 10:20 AM
