Yellow daytime running lights ticket. Why are other cars allowed to have different?

So I have a court date tomorrow if afternoon for having yellow daytime running lights on an Acura TL. As well 2 other traffic tickets by the very same cop for the very same offence, The cop stated your daytime running lights must be white only. The cop stated your daytime running lights must be white only. Why is it that other cars are allowed to be legal with different colours? Dodge chargers have orange DRL‘s. and older model Toyota previa has yellow DRL‘s as well as Acura vigour and also Acura legend. Does anyone have any idea how I can beat this ticket? The same cop gave me three tickets for the same offence within one month he just repeatedly pulled me over whenever he saw mE Wtf man. Even one time he busted a dangerous U-turn in the middle of the day causing someone to slam on their brakes just to come after me. Ford F150 undercover. Yes I know it took me three tickets to take the stupid lights off yes I realize I was a little stubborn not wanting to take them off

From what I can tell there's nothing that requires them to be white. I think it was Tacomas that used the orange front marker lights for it as well.

Your best bet is probably printing off all the relevant parts of the MVA to show if there is or isn't anything about the colour. I did find this with a quick search but I imagine you'll need more to go with it: https://www.th.gov.bc.ca/cvse/vehicl...unningLamp.pdf

I would lean towards this.

Canada's Motor Vehicle Safety Act contains a set of regulations that govern the types of lights required on Canadian motor vehicles. Section 44 of the regulations requires every Canadian passenger car, multi-purpose passenger vehicle, truck, bus and three-wheeled vehicle made or imported after Jan. 1, 1990 to be equipped with two DRLs that are white or yellow in colour. The B.C. Motor Vehicle Act Regulations allow these DRLs to be illuminated but do not require it.

Pictures of your yellow DRL’s please. Are they bright ass yellow like the HID fog lights some people run? Or are they actually amber like turn signals or Thee charger you quote

Where have you been? Your story has his name written ALL over it.

Just curious, when did you receive these tickets? Recently? Because I'm surprised you didn't receive a VI from him. Maybe they've started to cut back on those.

Actually these particular incidents are still to come. Kind of my bad because I thought the tinted window ticket yesterday was the daytime running light ticket. But I will definitely update here when the time comes

I couldn’t say why. But it was definitely him he gave me three tickets for the same offence within like 45 days. This happened about 8 months ago.

Jesus, how many tickets do you have such that you can't even keep your court appearance straight? 3 light tickets plus a tinted window ticket?
