Upgraded to a X5 from a X1, main reason was our 1.5 year old dog is almost 110lbs! Second picture is my car parked beside my wife's car in our parkade. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...48abf51b_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d58da85b_b.jpg |

It's kinda dumb how here in NA we can't take full advantage of those lights. |

My dad's '14 535d has adaptive variable LEDs which all move independently of each other as well as a shutter for more extreme light control that moves as the camera tracks cars taillights or headlights in front. You can see in the fog, it was very easy to see the high beams stay on around the car in front without shining any excess light into their face. It also moves the high beam for oncoming and continues to track them too. Such an advanced system that is such a joy to use as it reacts faster than I can easily, since the camera system is higher than my eye level. One drawback is in the rain which you should not use this function as high light will glare against the wet pavement and/or wet side concrete medians which is dangerous for those ahead. It's simple to defeat this system and revert to normal auto-high beams by turning on the fogs or manually hitting the "all-the-time high beams" switch to off. That's probably one thing most NA drivers are not fast enough to think about until it's too late which is why it's probably not turned on for cars on this continent. Seeing when I drive at night I often see cars with just their DRLs on and not headlights, thus no taillights because their speedo is always lit up. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/39...sQ=w1280-h1080 |
pretty sweet you can code it to a 7 year old car |

^ Nice! Did you end up sorting out all the quirks? |

All good now. Nothing serious though a good reminder that low km / barely driven old cars can summon gremlins. |
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...f4a3560d_h.jpg I really could be driving it with the mild conditions these days.. |

Filling up with the big boys now....upgrading from the smaller Coal Roller Pick-ups. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/bF...Rs=w1280-h1080 Also went to the local tuning shop to put the car into a low 12 second grocery getter status...if Safeway was exactly 1/4 mile from me. LOL :high: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/IQ...iM=w1280-h1080 Driving this thing is more nuttier than ever while keeping it sleeper status! |
not CL good buys thread but there's an m sport in squamish, and I want it bad. I wouldn't even take delivery of it - just send it straight to malone https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn...247551804.html https://images.craigslist.org/00w0w_...w_1200x900.jpg |
^ I just looked up the exact same car with the exact same thought process :lol |

Malone has transformed the car into a wolf in sheep's clothing. When you look at the price they charge, it's not like you could pay that amount for most engine mods and get such a high return on reliable/quality power. |
