Can somebody explain in layman terms why US gas is better than CDN gas?

After my 91 canned tune is knocking on Shell 91, I switched to Chevron 94 so letsee. Though now I am hearing people have better luck with Shell 91 than Chevron 94. :yuno:

Aaaaaaaanyway, I am hearing a lot of people say our gas sucks compared to US gas and that Chevron 92 in WA state is much better than even our Chevron 94. Lots of praise for Shell 91 even though my car doesn't seem to like it unless bad batch.

So my question is....WHY? Why is Canadian gas worse than US gas? Or is it only a West Coast thing?

Thank you for that. I checked out the videos and saw the results. But...I still wonder why CDN gas is worse? Is it the lack of ethanol content compared to the US 92 from WA?
Unless I completely missed it, and watched all 3 of his videos here.

Because the us 92 has better knock resistance which allows your ecu to run leaner air/fuel mixture and advance timing during the compression stroke so your spark is closer to top dead center which then creates more energy in the power stroke

At max the gas is going to be in the tank for 2 weeks before you buy it. Unless you are going to some crappy gas station in the middle of nowhere.
