Official XBOX Game Pass thread (console & PC)
 

Game Pass offers a huge variety of games, from AAA first party and Bethesda titles to indy games and everything in between. I've discovered games that I never heard of before, and then fell in love with. So I started this thread to talk about the new releases that we've been checking out.

Lately there have been a couple good ones

12 Minutes - a point and click adventure that has a time loop that ends in 12 minutes or less, depending on what happens. It's a pretty cool mystery and system, but it can be repetitive having to do some things over and over every time you want to try one thing different. Still worth checking out, I beat it in about 4 hours I think.

Humankind - A pure Civ style game, but with different systems. I've been absolutely hooked on this, and beat it multiple times already, increasing the difficulty each time. If you like Civ but are getting a bit bored of it, this is perfect for you. You already know how this type of game works, but it's fun to learn how all the systems work. The combat is way better than Civ.

It's also fun to try different archetypes in each game. Basically you don't just choose one civ for the whole game, you start with an early one, but can switch later on. So maybe you want to start with an agriculture based civ to grow your populatiion, then switch to production to put that populati9on to work, them military to take over the world. Each civ has one unique building, a special aspect, and the category bonus. It's a really cool system.

Only issue is it might be too easy.. Even with the second hardest difficulty, I just run away with the game very early on.

xbox game pass / game pass ultimate is $1 for a month right now. pretty solid for pc/xbox

just make sure you cancel or turn off auto renew or else youll get charged full price for the next month

oh man so when I posted that, it was only $1 for a month of ultimate or regular game pass.

the next morning they offered $1 for 3 months of xbox pc game pass.

I cancelled and managed to get a refund and got the 3 months for $1 deal.

if you get the $1 ultimate xbox pass after getting the 3 months, it will give you 4 months total + make the 3 months into ultimate as well

pretty sweet deal $2 gets you 4 months of xbox ultimate.

ultimate gets you some extra EA games, game perks + you can game on xbox cloud/mobile + xbox live if your on console

do this method if you also only game on xbox and want the 4 months ultimate

looking forward to the new forza + halo when they drop !

Preloaded Forza Horizon 5 and am super stoked. Reviews look really good, and I had a lot of fun with 4.

4K on extreme settings looks nuts. I heard 3080 runs it at like 60-80 fps lol

Preloaded on my XSX, will give it a go tomorrow.

Eh, I played it for a bit but it's like... I already got a lot of joy from Horizon 4, played it until I got tired of it and now... I'm still tired of it. H5 not doing anything for me so far, it's just more of the same.

It's good if you're not done with it, but I think I am.

Maybe Im just old but I found Forza horizon 4 pointless just driving to the random icon challenges. Maybe I just didn't know what I was doing but there didn't seem to be any sense of progress or indication of what I should be doing next.
