Tomorrow's game is not on any television network, but you can watch it on Apple TV. Good news is, it's free as long as you have Apple ID. Yeah, this sucks, but shit like this happens once in a while You Tube has a game or two like this. I wAnder if the game can be listened to on Sirius XM. I have Sirius XM MLB subscription so will listen to the game if I have to. https://tv.apple.com/room/edt.item.6...tvplus_gen_gen https://www.mlb.com/news/how-to-watc...tv-may-27-2022 |
Weird, weird, weird........ the game is on. I have it playing on my iPhone, my laptop, and on Sirius XM. iPhone is a few seconds ahead of the laptop. Sirius XM is quite a bit behind. On the Apple TV, there are no commercials, so they have a blank screen with "Friday Night Baseball." At the bottom in smaller text, "We'll be right back after a commercial break." Play by play is decent. One dude and one chick. Image is crystal clear. Stats look good. EDIT: A few ads showed up. It's Star Wars Night at the stadium tonight, lol. |
I can’t believe how good the game looks on my AppleTV For comparison, we watch all the other games on SN app on AppleTV (don’t have cable) Same streaming box - same tv. 1000% better picture tonight. The audio is amazing too. SN now is a service I pay annually for (we don’t have cable) and I realize they’re screwing me. Goes to show how good live event streaming can be, but they don’t give it to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Yup, the picture is a little better than what I usually get via HDTV, but the sound is amazing. You can hear what fans are saying........ even players cursing under their breath at umpires, lol. I miss Tabby, Shulman, Hazel, and the rest of the crew. And, the ads from Ontario, lol. Must admit, never seen a baseball game on my MacBook Pro this eye popping. When they showed the throw at the plate by Bichette in slow mo, I was like, damn. Beat out the runner by a few specs of dirt. I also like the simplicity of the score count and the other info in the background. Nicely done, IMHO. |
Romano strikes out Ohtani to end the game............ another close one run game. Good win! Fans chanting, "MVP, MVP, MVP," for Ohtani, not Guerrero, lol. MVP and runner up MVP from last year. |
Damn, it's like watching Japanese Baseball League. Kikuchi pitching against Ohtani. Suzuki catching for Angels. Yakult, Yamada, Nishikawa, Bandai Namco, Yokohama Tire, Funai, Daiso Japan, JAE (Japan Aviation Electronics), Nitto Tire and a few more local business ads around the park. Ohtani is pretty popular in japan, so most likely the ads are there for that viewership. Also noticed more than usual amount of asian faces in the crowd. Actually, more pronounced yesterday, due to awesome Apple TV+ streaming video resolution. I hope Suzuki is okay. Dude got hit in the neck by his pitcher during warmups. Looked pretty innocent at first, but shit........ dude got groggy and they barely kept him vertical by the time they got him to the dugout. I'm surprised they didn't get a stretcher out at that time. His body went limp......... . okay, Kurt Suzuki is American (Hawaii). |
Shaky finish for the jays but they got it done in all its low resolution SN glory. Suzuki is going to be ok. I actually had to find a different stream to find the footage. Looked innocent but must have caught just right in the collar bone. Never like seeing a dude go limp. Hopefully they can finish the sweep tomorrow. Maybe the ball will travel a little better during the day - jano should’ve had the homer tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Neck contusion. SN had a slo mo shot from a different angle and it hit him in the neck after the ball grazed his shoulder area. Good thing it was off the dirt and off another part before hitting his neck. Still enough momentum to cause him to lose control like that in the end. He looked like he was winded at first. Stumbled a bit when he got up. Swelling in the neck might have prevented normal blood flow to the brain? Report after the game mentioned it was a neck contusion and he was "aware". On a side note, I got a huge chuckle out of that Junior Jays commercial with "Mabel Hayes." I don't think a lot of people would get it........ |
Damn, two homers for Ohtani, so far. Gave the Angels a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Just hit his second to drive in 2 more runs. Jays were ahead 6-2. Now 6-4. Angels second run was amazing. Never saw a player run so fast around the bases. Should have been a double....... a single for a guy like Kirk, but Rengifo made it to third and then home because of a poor throw. An in the field, solo home run. Wow! Berrios just got pulled from the game with runners on the corners and only one out. Borucki is in and he's facing the Wookie. No, not a rookie, a Wookie (Brandon Marsh). https://www.pitcherlist.com/wlb-awar...e-of-the-year/ Freakin' hell............ it's 6-6. Rengifo runs like he stole something and scores from first base!!!!!! FU!!!!!!! Good news is, it's only bottom of 3rd. |
Jays down 9-6. Top of 7th, they load the bases. one run scores on a walk and another with an amazing infield base hit. Holy crap, another bases loaded walk............ it's tied at 9-9 with only one out! Damnit.......... double play, 9-9 score. This game should have been over, time wise, 20 minutes ago. |
This game is simply nuts............. Sunday afternoon special. Tied 9-9, Angels get a solo home run. Blue Jays up to bat at the top of the 8th. Bichette hits a solo home run to tie it at 10 a piece. Kirk then hits a double. Jays fans go nuts, 'cause Guerrero, who was supposed to have a day off, comes to plate. Angels manager signals umpire that he wants an intentional walk. Gurriel Jr then hits a single. It's now 11-10 at the bottom of the 8th. Top of the lineup for Jays' pitcher, Garcia. This could be bad for the Jays.............. not sure if Garcia has what it takes. WIN!!!!!!!!!! Sweep and five wins in a row. So much for gardening. The weeds get to live another day, gulolol. |
Wow, Jays can sweep the Twins today, but Kikuchi is shitting the bed. First inning and 3 runs have scored. This guy is not worth saving, Pete! There he goes............replaced after 2/3 of an inning. About 40 pitches in that period and 4 walks. Hyun Jin is probably gone for a long time from the sounds of it. Trent Thornton in. Side is retired, thank god. I have faith in the bats. Royally kick KC in the butt(s). Go, Jays, GO!!!!! Can Kirk continue the awesome run of hits? Wait........... no Kirk or Hernandez????? Looked like Hernandez was finally getting it together. Oh well, Charlie knows what he's doing. Raimel Tapia hits a solo homer. 3-1 Royals. 440 foot home run. Damn.......... |
Well, winning two out of three games against the MLB's worst team the Royals is not too bad haha. The Jays are going to have issues with their pitching rotation. Ryu is on the IL for at least 10 days because of a forearm injury. Kikuchi is playing awful now. What can Montoya do? |
Montoyo can bring up all kinds of pitchers. I keep forgetting the Vancouver Canadians are one of the Jays' minor league affiliates. Alek Manoah pitched for the Vancouver Canadians at one point. https://theprovince.com/sports/baseb...le-farm-system https://www.milb.com/vancouver/news/...kane-309466806 On a side note, I was at Canadian Tire on Grandview Hwy and went into the sports fan section by the front entrance. There, my little eye spotted a Funko Pop, Bo Bichette. Snatched it up. Now that I've taken down the Vancouver Canucks shrine of 45+ years, I have plenty of room for its replacement - the Jays' Shrine. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. bobble head and Funko Pop, Funko Pop Ace, Charlie Montoyo playing bongos bobblehead, etc. I even have a Hazel Mae bobblehead, complete with bobble gatorade bucket, lol. I did, however, keep the Vancouver Canucks "Heart and Soul" plaque. |
For the love of Kahless, the Jays are on faiyah! Bottom of second inning, the Jays are on top 6-0. Detroit Tigers. Vladdy still not right. Fricken rain.......... please hold off until after the fifth Like Seattle, lots of Jays fans from Ontario. Crap............. game delay. Shortest rain delay I've ever seen. Top of 6th 10-0 lead now. |
All this talk about the newest addition to the Jays' lineup, Gabriel Moreno. He made his debut yesterday and got his first major league hit - a single. Moreno is ranked 4th prospect in 2022. "Miggy," Miguel Cabrera of Detroit Tigers, a fellow Venezuelan, was honoured today at Comerica Park (3000th hit). Cabrero is Moreno's idol. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sp...it/7598547001/ https://www.cbc.ca/sports/baseball/m...e-11-1.6485700 Stippling pitching today and Moreno looks like he's been with Strippling for a while. Pitch Com helps........... Today's game is the rubber match. Toronto won 10-1 on Friday and lost 3-1 yesterday. 0-0 Top of 3rd. Go, Jays, GO!! |
Jays hosting Baltimore Orioles today............ 9-0 lead without a homer. Nice! Bottom of 5th. As far as birds go, Blue Jays > Orioles. Cardinals, not sure, lol. |
Watched the Jays game yesterday. My first time sitting and watching a game in full in years! Even though it was just Baltimore, it looks like they are really ramping up. Good depth this year. Manoha is a beast. |
Manoah is huge, but a gentle giant. He fits right in with the team. Loves to have fun. Gotta love players, especially pitchers, who love to mingle with the other teammates in La Barrio (dugout). For those who are getting into the Jays' https://jaysjournal.com/2021/08/31/b...inational-mix/ The Blue Jays have some good talent coming up from their minor league affiliates. Just watch the games at the Nat. |
Cot Dam, it’s Kikuchi today. If he shits the bed again, we gonna call him Yuseless Kikuchi, instead of Yusei Kikuchi. On another subject, this Moreno kid is all that he’s cracked up to be. That throw to take out one of MLB’s. biggest thief was simply amazing. The speed and accuracy. Wow. Go, Jays, GO! |

No idea, lol. I don't really care what traded players do. Robbie Ray, maybe. Anyway, today's game was weird. Jays were leading 5-0 at one point. Orioles come back to tie the game 6-6. it goes into extra innings. 4 hits by Vladdy today, including a solo home run. Walk off RBI to end the game. I have no idea what the Oriole's manager was thinking. Bo Bichette on second base and Vladdy comes to plate. All it takes is one run to win the game. If you intentionally walk Vladdy, you have runners on first and second for possible double play. Nope, Vladdy hits the ball into the outfield and Bichette runs like the wind and game is over. Vladdy took his own medicine. Three gatorade showers. It's pay back time........ |
