Help me decide: PPF or WRAP?

Gents,

im a bit conflicted as to whether or not i should Paint Protection Film the LC or just color change it with inozetc super glossy wrap. Pricing is about the same, but i want to protect my paint from rock chips.

https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/super-gloss-colors

Colors im looking at are

Miami Blue https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/...cts/miami-blue
Snow Blue https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/...now-blue-sg740
Turquoise Dream https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/...urquoise-dream
Sand https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/.../products/sand
Piggy Bank https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/...cts/piggy-bank
Kenmery Blue https://www.inozetek.ca/collections/...pecial-edition

Below is Miami blue on the LC500 which is sort of my forerunner option right now

how often you drive on hwy? wrap doesn't protect a lot from rock chips.

blue looks good on the lexus...don't even think about sand or piggy bank.

Have u looked into stek dynomiami blue?

Badhobz 05-07-2022 06:58 PM

The wrap is 1/3 the thickness of ppf I guess. Still some protection right ? I wanted it protected because I was going to take it down to LA along the Oregon coast. Figure the color change is just a bonus.

What prices have you been quoted? I don't think a colour change with no door jambs is the same price as a full body PPF.

Badhobz 05-07-2022 09:37 PM

i got quoted 5900 for color change and around 5k for full ppf.

no ive never heard of this, thanks for the heads up.

From what ive found online, its a colored PPF thats about 8milmeters thick vs this inozetec wrap at 3.7-4.1milmeters thick.

So double the protection. Any idea who uses this locally?

How exactly is the inozetek midnight purple NOT on your list???? That is utter madness.

Otherwise just get a PPF. You’re not a 22 year old with an frs

A rock chip is gonna tear right through that vinyl.

You could PPF the front bumper and hood, then wrap over it I guess?

midnight purp is too GTR34. Isn't it heresy to put a Nissan color on a Toyota? BibleThump

NSX has a midnight purple too, pretty rare but it did for 2 years in North America!

beatdownvictim 05-09-2022 10:20 AM

Oof 7100 for the stek color/ppf from my installer no thankss

trollface 05-09-2022 01:52 PM

Miami-blue gets my vote.

@Badhobz as of 2023 your fellow Corolla’s won’t be blessed with Blue Streak anymore ;) They’re dropping that colour and replacing it dark blue and inferno orange.

You’ll only be confused with pre-facelift ’rollas Kappa

I’m hoping in 5-7 years that the Mazda soul red will all be dead as well (rust) and when I finally unwrap it, the red on red will look good. Hohohohoho

Is there anyone local that has this paint over ppf
