Local Drift Event Ride Alongs
 

Been out of the game for faaaaaar too long at this point, so I'm out of the loop. Does anyone know of any sanctioned local drift events that allow passengers? Kiddo (late teens) is starting to get into the car world and currently has a thing for drifting. Thought I might be able to get her a lap or two as a passenger but have no idea which events do it anymore.

Looking at the '23 spring/summer season, if that makes any difference.

i thought you just get a ratbag civic/corolla + lunch plastic plates on the rear tires and then go nuts at silvercity riverport parking lot.... isnt that the way we used to do it?

I am not at all familiar with the drifting world, but I think the 2 bigger local organizers / associations for it are:

British Columbia Drift Association
Dark Lotus Drift Team

So it is best to hit them up directly, and ask them about how and when they host events.

This is the way, or wait till snow shows up and find empty parking lots

Not really local nor inexpensive but at Exotics racing in Vegas, if you rent a car you or a member of your party can get a couple laps with a former pro-drifter in a Z06 around the track. Was quite the experience If you guys ever end up in Vegas lol
