Cosori Air Fryer Recall

Got a Cosori Air Fryer? It is likely in the recall list for a fire hazard.
https://recalls-rappels.canada.ca/en...al-fire-hazard

If it's on the list, you can fill out the linked form below, and Corsori will send you a new Air Fryer, or something else, if you don't want an air fryer, like a dehydrator.

Ack. Just recycled my Cosori last week after it died. It was one of the models shown.

Luckily, we happened to be gifted a different brand of air fryer for Xmas so we’re using that one now but it’s too bad that I can’t choose a different product.

If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all

the flaking off of that non-stick material on these things have always concerned me.. That's the only thing that has stopped me from getting one.

Use the silicone liner?

That said, I have yet to jump on the air fryer train. My oven that I got almost 5 years ago does have the air fryer option and I've used it a couple times and it was a freaking mess with the splatter though that has only really deterred me from using the option in the oven I would consider getting an actual air fryer maybe at a later point but I'm pretty good using old school methods of cooking still.

You can put a small metal pan in one or metal pan + Asian steaming rack on top to get airflow, all the oil ends up in the metal pan and you can just wash that. Much easier than washing the whole air fryer basket

my god, the craziest thing happened to me yesterday.

so about a week ago we noticed a little crack in the plastic of the handle on our cosori air fryer. a few days later bits of the plastic were falling off of the handle, so last night i went to the air fryer to take a pic of the serial number to file a warranty claim.

i sat down at the pc and lo and behold, i had received an email from amazon only 10 minutes before telling me that my air fryer was being recalled.

Your replacement product will likely arrive within the next 2 to 3 weeks, but please allow at least 3 weeks for the tracking information to become available, and note that certain replacement products have a ship time of 8+ weeks.

Yea true, I did see their estimated timeline but was reading online from other users that they were getting the tracking info within a few days of the approval.

Received an email on Saturday about how they're getting the replacement ready and what model the replacement is.

There's a note in the email saying - Please note that processing and shipping of replacement products can take anywhere from 6 to 8+ weeks.

Could be another 1-2 months, lol. Good thing I have a backup air fryer.

I just got an email today saying I can wait for a white one but it may take up to 2-4 months because backorder, or take a black one which is in stock and ready to be shipped in 2-4 weeks.

I got the tracking number for UPS Ground Residential ETEKCITY yesterday too. But when I goto the site 17track, it says it's not found.

I tried choosing CANPAR as a carrier, as what other sites suggests, but it still shows as not found.

OMG. I got an email from the recall. The final confirmation process finally completed after more than 2 months. Now I just have to wait for it to ship...
