Have to assume Canucks management thinks they have all the pieces they need for a successful playoff run, while others like the Knights, Avs, and Canes think they have to address some issues.

At this point hopefully everyone is healthy for the playoffs and we'll see where we're really at as far as being a contender goes.

I think if the Canucks better the last time they were in the playoffs, it'd be a win of a season. C'mon let's be honest, this core/team doesn't have what it takes to win it all. So, Canucks win 2 rounds, go into the 3rd and it will be a successful season. Voice of reason.

I’d disagree. The Canucks can win it all this season. I’m not as optimistic as I was during the 2010-2011 season but it is possible. Are they the favourites? No. Can they surprise some people? Yes.
I’m also glad we didn’t give up the farm for Guentzel and hope we land Toffoli. Toffoli + Lindholm > 1 Guentzel. Lindholm can be a beast for us in the playoffs and I hope he proves me right!

ahah watching Miller trying to buy more time is funny. Last game Canucks iced the puck last mins of 3rd period. Miller takes his time and almost gets waived from the face off circle. Then tonight Hughes iced the puck, and Miller go to the bench to get a new stick.  | |

Expectations and predictions are meaningless. It's just noise in your head. Playoffs in sports are crazy, and pretty much every fan SHOULD have zero expectations for their favourite teams, other than "I hope they try to win". Sometimes things go well an they do. For literally every other team, things don't go as well, and they lose.

The guy on first intermission yesterday said it best... Canucks already made significant deals in the past few months... if they made them yesterday or today it would be like ZOMG CUP RUN... it's actually the other teams playing catch-up, not us getting left behind.

Vegas has not been playing well recently. Vegas GM signs Hertl in order to
re-ignite their offence?
It's a bit surprising that the defending champs are a wild card team now.
It would be funny if Vegas does NOT make the playoffs after the trade deadline moves that they make.

I’m torn between wanting Vegas to play Edmonton and them missing because of all their cap circumvention BS..
Vegas in the playoffs isn’t good for the Canucks, they’ve had a hell of a time with them ever since they’ve come into the league
