car has a 1:10 or greater HP:Weight - assuming this means moar slow I think it applies to most of my vehicles. The most hopeless was the YJ though. It had the 2.5L 4 banger which started out with barely over 100hp, add 20 years of abuse and neglect and it was completely gutless. There's something fun about the simplicity of just using WOT at all times though.
identifies as a car guy - absolutely, I bought my first car before I even had a license and I got my license first thing in the morning on my birthday. My hair was still wet when they took my photo lol. I also planned out how I wanted to build an R34 Skyline with Need for Speed Underground.
road rager - not really, but I do get annoyed with stupid people. Like the idiot in a Tesla driving around with rear fog lights on last night got highbeamed a few times. I have had people road rage at me pretty badly though. I had a guy chase me around all over the place and try to run me off the road. they started getting out of the car at a red light so I ran the light and just parked in front of the cop shop for a while. I had another guy pass me illegally to brake check me in a snow storm and then follow me around and punch my Cherokee at a light. I've also had people yell at me for driving down a road (below the limit might I add) and a weird dude last night walk into the middle of the road with his dog and then act like he was going to punch my car when I drove past. people are weird.
done a burnout - I tried a few crappy ones in my old Celica GT-S but I've never really owned anything capable of burnouts lol.
first car was less than $500 - slightly more, technically it was $1660 so that after taxes and stuff it would be $1900. also the only vehicle I've purchased from a dealership.
bonus ones:
complains about gas prices - not really, obviously I miss when it was cheaper but all things considered they're not horrible. I'm kinda sick of the gas companies jacking up prices for no reason but not getting called out on it though.
been on the track - I've done a couple driving experiences on tracks in a late model with RWRE and a 488 GTB/Huracan with Xtreme Xperience but I've never done a proper track day with my own vehicle despite signing up for a couple (stupid thing always broke down right before).
dealt with a scummy dealer/seller - a couple annoying dealers and the guy I bought my RX7 from was super sketchy but nobody too bad.
oil stains in carport/garage - absolutely. everything I own is a piece of crap lol.
doesn't use turn signals - only when on a mostly deserted highway. and right now I don't use my left signal because a bulb is out and the hyperflash is annoying.
smiles when filling the gas tank - more like crosses my fingers and hopes some idiot didn't fill the 94 tank with 87 again. my car is too primitive to adapt to bad gas very well so it's an absolute pig when that happens.
banished to fight club only - not yet!
misses RS good ol' days - life was definitely simpler back then. sometimes I wish I'd bought a different car that was capable of making it to events and track days and stuff back when they were more plentiful. |
