Quite likely! Opening up that contract spot is more important than Friedman was to us. Unfortunate for him, he was a good soldier who never seemed to complain. Wish him luck in Nashville! Excited to see what Mancini might be for us. Dude seems pretty huge and mobile from the clips I saw. RHD depth was something we were sorely lacking and this could be a very important piece to the puzzle.

I think Friedman was already sent down, so didnt affect roster spots.
With a log jam of D, probably just doing him a favor since he's only played 5 games this year.

Who cares if Peter is gay or not, does that make him a worse hockey player somehow?
I remember when Markstrom was here a lot of people said he was gay just cuz you never saw him with a gf but he’s married now with a kid… People need to mind their own bizness

JT is just a very loose and passionate canon that boils over in dramatic fashion. Wasn’t just petey he blew up on, coaches and staff had issues too apparently, not to mention teams before us.
Hopefully now everyone can relax a bit and find a groove but petey will need to start getting more disciplined off the ice (hit the gym, do his media duty without complaining, etc.) if he wants to stick around. A contract that size isn’t going to come without doing some of hard and unpleasant shit.

Let's welcome the Leafs in town ... this is the day when games here start at 4:00 pm.  But for some reason, the Canucks always take down the 'mighty' Lauffs. Skill wise, I still think I’d take Miller over Petey, we all know when playoffs come (if they do), Petey will be invisible.
Watch Petey skate, his form is terrible and he skates upright. All he does is stand at the dots waiting for his one timer (which he cannot bury)
