So I Bought a 2021 Mercedes C43 AMG Sedan with 4Matic and 16,000kms on it from Mississauga and shipped it to Calgary. Big shout out to RS user bcrdukes who I barely know and consider a frienemy for going to the dealer for me and checking the car out in person when it wasn't practical for me to do so.
First thing I did after getting the car and fighing with some Vietnamese guys about my front tint to pass bullshit AB inspection and having to rip it off myself in the parking lot of their shop to get a pass, I drove to Kelowna for a guys trip.
Then like 2 days ago on Friday I put my GR Supra up for sale expecting it to take quite a long time to sell and after about 60 messages in 4 hours a 22 year old kid sent a deposit and was coming down from Edmonton the next day (yesterday) to pick it up. Shockingly fast. Maybe I priced it too low? I put it at $70,000. There's no tax on private sales here though so I guess they're saving $8k over new? AB kids are wild with money. He told me he already ordered new rear tires for it because he's going to burn the ones on it off on the way home....................

You might've missed it. Basically he realized there's very few times of the year that he can drive the Supra.

It's among the last tasteful Mercedes before they went full tilt with the nightclub styling IMO.

Funny enough, I've been thinking about selling the FK8 despite my earlier strong resistance to it. If track wasn't such a big part of summer hobbies for me (and me saying not selling the car), I would have done so already. Now I only drive if I have to - go in to DT for meetings etc. The FK8 trunk is great for Expos. I recently transported a 55" TV + portable TV Stand + 32" Tablet on portable stand + various roll up banners and other marketing materials, and it made having the type r a bit more worthwhile. LOL one of our industry partners saw my car and was like "holy crap it looks like the cars from the 80s/90s! Does it also go low with a woosh noise (bags?) and does it have the lights under the car?"
For you guys the M3/M4/Supra isn't your one car solution so it makes sense to get rid of it as prios change.

If one does come up though that's low mileage and reasonably priced I'll just buy it and sell this one... no tax on used cars in AB so you can flip around all you want.

I mean I actually had 3 rear wheel drive 2 seater cars with the Supra... in AB... I still have my MR2 Turbo and Miata. Also have manual IS300 here too.
Mustang is still in Richmond as well. All rear wheel drive lol... was as common sense a move as I could make without dying a little bit inside getting a truck or SUV  | |
