Throttle House to take over The Grand Tour

Throttle House’s James Engelsman and Thomas Holland, Along With Train Enthusiast Francis Bourgeois, to Front Revamped Grand Tour

The new hosts of The Grand Tour have reportedly been confirmed as the hit Prime Video series moves on from its former presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond.

The ex-Top Gear trio's on-screen relationship came to an end in September 2024 with what was said to be the final episode of The Grand Tour, dubbed “One for the Road”, marking the end of their run on the show.

The show, however, does not appear to be over and will now be rebooted with three new, younger presenters who are popular in the world of YouTube and social media.

According to The Sun, YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, best known for their motoring content, as well as social media star and train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois, will front the revamped version of The Grand Tour.

A source told the tabloid: “Thomas and James are as knowledgeable about motors as Jeremy, Richard and James – the only difference is they’re younger, cooler and a lot more social media savvy. Francis became famous for his love of trainspotting and will be bringing his humour to the show.”

Holland and Engelsman are the duo behind Throttle House, a popular automotive YouTube channel known for its car reviews and track tests. As of May 2025, their channel boasts over 3.2 million subscribers.
No idea who the heck the train guy is but Throttle House is a great channel with vibes of old school TG.

The best of luck to the duo, big shoes to fill!

i'm getting old... i'm more interested in clarkson's farm on prime than car shows these days

Congrats to the Throttle House guys - their content is funny but informative so a good fit for a new Grand Tour. We can get rid of the crankiness that is Clarkson which had gotten to be a bit much.

Perhaps this is why the amount of content TH released recently seemed to have slowed down. Happy for these two. I think they're great spiritual successors to the old Top Gear. All the way from making enthusiast E46 videos!

This is great. I really enjoy their videos.

This is great, probably one of my favourite duos on the YT car world right now. I don't know who the train spotter is, but I feel like it would be perfect if they could add Adam Sandler counterfei Jason Cammisa and Randy Pobst to it.

I guess it's just a rumor at this point, but it'd be great if true. Plus they're Canadian! :)

Hammond's Workshop and even James' YouTube channel content is also great.

So this train guy going to put his train expertise in a car show? or they going to show trains as well?

Badhobz 05-30-2025 03:30 PM

How can you be a “train guy” it’s not even a real thing. You can be a bitch ass foamer, who just takes photos and plays with model trains while making gay noises.

But you’ll never be able to operate a real one unless you’re a conductor or an engineer. Even if you buy your own train, you aren’t legally allowed to use the rail lines as they are privately owned by the class 1 railways.

Francis Bourgeois is a weird pick for me, he does a fictional, borderline on the spectrum, "character" for his trainspotting series and got called out for it, is it gonna be "fake" for the show, or his actual self?

I always get the 2 channels confused when it comes to reviews. But TH puts out better content with their road trip stuff, same goes for gears and gasoline.

roastpuff 05-31-2025 04:21 PM

SP is so boring. Same schtick for every car.

TH tries to focus on what makes the car different compared to other cars.

TSP's formula works for them as a YouTube business that doesn't invade their whole life, I just think it's a bit cheesy
