Don't remember the last 3 I went to, but I recently went to Elephant Garden Creamery on Commercial, and although the flavours were cool... I found it way too... creamy? Ironic isn't it.

This -- my list below -- is so pathetic. I used to seek out good, authentic gelato all over the city back in my younger days. Now, my last 3 visits for ice-cream / gelato are:

- Costco soft serve
- Earnest Ice-Cream
- Costco soft serve

and I can't even remember where and when I had paid a visit to another ice-cream / gelato place beyond the above two. And it isn't like I go to Earnest all that often either.

That is to say -- if we go back to count the last 10x when I went to get ice-cream, Costco would probably fill up at least another 5 slots.

Gelato too pricey...

our go to is Rocky Point, it's always been a favorite, but its dangerous that they just opened one up a block away from our house. and my daughter knows where it is, lol.

Costco ice cream is humongous! Its like dinner on a cone.
For the price, it knocks Ikea, DQ and Mcdonald's out of the water.

I forgot about Rocky Point! Delicious ice cream cakes!

Rocky Point at the Town Centre Park in Coquitlam.

Lemon Yogurt Cookie flavour is awesome!

Rain or Shine - Vancouver

Honey Lavender - One of their best gelato in my opinion.

Rain or Shine gives free samples of their blueberry balsamic.

It's awful! It's like eating frozen salad dressing.
The balsamic flavour masks the blueberry ice cream.

List of places I've been to recently (past 3-ish years)

Amato Gelato - hazelnut flavour is fantastic. They also do sugar free flavours if you're diabetic.
Earnest - hands down best london fog in the city.
Passione Gelato - Authentic gelato spot with limited flavours like what you'd typically see in Italy that aren't tourist traps.
Elephant Garden - East Asian flavours. Nice to have after a pint at St. Augustines
Rain or Shine - Solid B tier. They also do catering.
Mario's Gelato - chocolate sorbetto was really good.
Killer Ice Cream - too many variations of iced desserts. None which were good.

Not a gelato fan but for ice cream the best place is La Glace (https://www.laglace.ca) - their toasted ice cream sandwich is fantastic and the flavours are unique but never weird. I rarely get to go since it's on the west side but if I'm even in spitting distance I'll make the effort cause it's fantastic.

We always get the "flight" at Rain or Shine
It's a choice of 4 various, descent-sized scoops of ice cream for about $12-13. They place it on a wooden plate that looks like the head of a hockey stick! How Canadian, eh? .. you're welcome!
