Ok, so I've had this idea for a long time; just no time to execute it.

Tonight I finally had a little time to play around. So I finally did this shot. This is just a practice shot, and is not the finished product. I will be reshooting this the proper way (white suit, better lighting and pose, etc. But this is enough to settle my cravings for now:

Yes I realize its not an innovative nor novel idea, and I obviously wasn't trying to play it off as it was.

The concept of the original, as I see it, is as follows: A man full of rage and anxiety is on edge. His problems are so severe that he has resorted to a weapon to resolve them. The solutions are not diplomatic, and rather are as clear and black and white as life and death.
His white suit and black shirt symbolize the same contrast. But is also a symbol of inner rage (black shirt) covered by restraint and self-control (white suit). However, since his stance is facing towards the black with a weapon in hand, and the white portion of the image is slowly fading, it means he is ready to take on the problems with absolute force (gun in hand).


In contrast, my image is slightly different: It is a man in almost the same predicament: full of problems and agony. His problems have contained him in entirety (black suit, black shirt), and he is also holding a gun in hand, which signifies he is ready to respond in the same manner. The suit is starting to darken, which means he is being contained by the corruption and indescency of the dark side. However, his face makes all the difference. His face is turned towards the lighter side, contemplating a different way out. It is as if he is going through a process of enlightenment, sudden epiphany. What will he do next? How will he react? hahaha it's never a bad time..

as it reads on it..."stereophonic receiver"...it's a receiver/tuner from 1978. the whole face is solid aluminum, within a solid wood cabinet. has little guages to show you the strength of the tuner signal and also a gyroscopic tuner dial. with a total of 55watts of fury in two channels. this thing has amazing sound when paired with some good speakers.

There are two types of recievers - stereo and multichannel. Both can switch from different sources and of course, tune in to radio.

Amps, there are lots of different types...mutichannel amps, monoblocks, stereo amps and integrated amps.

Pure amps are just an amplifier with no other inputs. You need a pre-amp to power it and control the volume.

Integrated amps can switch between multiple sourcs and usually can only drive 2 channels, although some can drive 4.. I have yet to see one that can drive 5. Of cousre.. no radio.

how about the built-in amps; are they in all receivers? yes, some have larger amps than others but big or small it needs an amp to make sound. A "tuner" would require a separate amp though.

Reciever now a days usually refers to home theatre recievers which can switch audio and video sources where as a pre-amp/amp combo usually refers to two channel sound.

If you wanted to listen to radio with a pre-amp/amp combo, you'd get a tuner.
