anyone else watches it?

i'm loving it!!! got to be present for a hip replacement surgery for my elective course back at school and LOVED every minute of it! mostly when they were cauderizing (sp???) through the flesh to get to the hip bones... the SMELL of burning flesh being COOKED... oh man! AWESOME!!! hahaha

nehow, love the show! already on episode 3? or 4...

Ya, this show is awesome.

It's got the ER feel, but with younger, "hipper" characters. Add to that 2 hot chicks, an Asian smartass, jokes and drama, some pissed off black doctors, a fresh soundtrack and some very intriguing storylines.

I just hope this show stays on for a long time.

Yah this show's pretty cool. It really makes the surgeons' jobs seem so glorious - but I'd never want to be a doctor. I like the cocky black doctors!

Or, since it's still relatively fresh in my mind, I'll give it a shot. In case somebody doesn't want to read this, I'll make it a low contrast color. Keep in mind that this from memory and my interpretation, so a lot of the characters' lines have been rephrased!


Dr. Webber's wife says "You better come attend our child's school play, or else" so he's out of the picture.

Dr. Burke and Christina's patient is a boy who needs a heart transplant. They find a donor, but the boy doesn't want it - "Santa Claus doesn't exist, and some kid had to die for me. I don't want it." His mom has been feeding him a bunch of religious crap all along that he doesn't buy.

During the operation, they discover that Burke is spiritual, whereas Yang only believes in medicine. She says the heart will work cuz it meets all the "requirements", while Burke says "he needs to want it."

Back in the hospital room, the boy's new heart stops but Yang uses a defibrillator to get it started. Later in the evening, she tells him "When you grow up, be a doctor, and try to find a way to treat patients with heart problems. Dying now would be a total waste."

Addison is looking forward to Christmas, but Derek is not in the mood. He'd much rather be in the hospital. At the end of the episode, he shares with Addison, "My thing with Meredith wasn't meant to get back at you. I actually fell in love with her." (So obviously he's still torn between his wife and the intern.)

Dr. Shepherd and Meredith's patient is a guy with some brain hemmorhage. During the operation, Dr. Shepherd mutters a bunch of bah-humbug stuff. Meredith says "what the hell - what if he's (the patient) listening?"

After the operation, the guy wakes up in a BAD mood and thus, scares his wife and children. "You broke my daddy!" accuses his son.

They open him up again and fix things after another CT scan reveals some anomalies (which they didn't pick up earlier I guess). So he ends up ok.

One by one, the interns discover that Alex failed his exam. In between patients/surgeries, they take turns helping him study, pretending they're patients with various ailments. Izzie, however, is pissed that her friends are helping Alex though. In defense, Meredith says that when you (Izzie) were down, we helped/let you decorate the living room for the season, and now Alex needs our help.

George's patient is a woman with stomach (I think) ulcers and she needs surgery soon. In her room are her parents, husband, and son, and they're making a *huge* ruckus (which explains why she has ulcers, duh). Unfortunately, her surgery is delayed by other emergencies. Finally they get to work on her and she's fine. George and Dr. Bailey give the good news to her family but the mom says "I'm gonna sue cuz you guys kept on delaying my daughter's surgery, wtf!" Bailey nudges George (he's pissed that he didn't kick them out earlier) so he tells the family to shove it and get the hell out.

Dr. Bailey's surgeries are disrupted by her unborn child's needs. The child kicks her, and she is seen craving sweets and a strawberry milkshake - extra thick. She is obviously nearing the end of her term.

Ok I think that's it! I think this was the season finale.

On Feb 19's episode, Dr. Shepherd's ex-best friend (the guy his wife cheated on him with) came to visit and caused a bunch of tension.

Couple months ago I heard rumours that one of the characters would be leaving the show after the 2nd season - which sounded absurd at the time.

However it seems very possible now... Yes she was the hottest character!

Noelle is pregnant with twins but one of them is growing slower than the other. Her fiance has problems of his own. Derek's sister visits. A patient's wife makes things hard on the staff since she has made her husband's health her job. A woman's sexual exploits are questioned.

Funny that his mother showed up and everyone had a chat with her like she was Mother Teresa or something... words of advice for all.

Now that I think of it, they purposely left last season's open for both Burke and George. (Probably cuz of the whole Isiah/TR fiasco) The storyline would have flowed if both of them left. It sucks that Burke isn't around, but at least he's found a new home on the Bionic Woman. ;)

i missed a whole seasons worth... and finally bought the season 3 box set :) one sitting 27 hours of season 3... omfg, awesome! and now i recovered from my sore throat/stuffy nose which i had for one WHOLE week, grey's is simply awesome!

tho I missed the fest few eps this sesason... i've been did catch the last 3 weeks episodes... it sucks, but Callie didn't deserve the triangle... sigh, but then i realized what makes this show so good are the 4S's:
Smarts
Sugeries
Sex
Scandals

I hope this show goes on for 2 more seasons at least, but I wonder how they will write out Lexie Grey... damn so much happened in season 3, what story page turning drama can they bring out for the rest of this season?!?!

Izzie & George never should have happened!! They are beyond mismatched! For one, she is simply gorgeous and TALL. George is PUNY as hell; they look ridiculous together! They should be best friends, nothing more! Another thing, now they've made Izzie a "bad person" because she broke up Callie and George's marriage... :(

On the other hand, I think Lexie and George have chemistry! Let the show move in that direction. Izzie and George, HA, lets see how long they last.

Meredith is pissing me off too. What is with her and not accepting McDreamy when he is saying and doing everything right. Grrrr at her. Blah this show is pissing me off.

I actually think George is still alive and Izzy is dead! They've set up George to get a new face which means a new actor can now play O'Malley because his face will be all f'ed up...
