you have to use something called an epilator. it's best to have a professional do it for you or you might hurt yourself (it requires some precision).

bioré strips
Ok if you want to get rid of blackheads (clogged up dirt in your pores)
1) wash your hands with soap, then clean your face with WARM water . (the heat will open up your pores so the dirt would would come out easier and causes less of an irritation) steam would be perfect.
2) depending on the type of blackheads (some are not buried deep and some are) you can use strips or the epilator "oil scraper" but make sure your hands are CLEAN!
3) when using a epilator, apply slight force, press down and out, and important note: get all of it or it'll turn into a zit
4) after that, wash your face, put on an antibacterial face agent (preferably a mask) and then toner (to close up pores) and then moisterize!
Epilator = hurts like a bitch, but it works
I would just go and get a cleansing facial cuz it's alot of work adn if your hands arent clean or you didnt get all of your black heads it'll turn into a zits. You'l notice areas might get alittle irritated with the "oil scraper" but after a day you'll be looking handsome as ever! =D
To prevent blackheads: exfoliate twice a week with over the counter facial scrubs or try salt (but it might be too drying)
Get a good mask to do twice a weak.
Essential musts for both men and women:
Always wash your face with facial cleanser, ending with toner and moisterizer.
Face excretes more oils when your face is dry, because it's trying to keep the level of moisture. So your face would essentially be oily on top and the bottom layers of your skin would be dry.

my last facial was about 2 1/2 weeks ago and as long as you keep your face clean, even just using a good cleanser in the shower when ur pores are open....i could even get another month before i would need to go again and thats just cuz i like them......but they are great....totally 100% reccommend it

i'm going to see my family doctor about my moles/blackheads. do i ask him whether they're cancerous before i ask him to recommend me to a place? my dad says that he doesn't normally do it the removals himself. thanks.

Blackheads are NOT cancerous. Moles most likely not. You only need to worry about moles if they have changed size, color or become painful. So no need to worry. All it will take is a simple 45 min fascial.

For moisturizers try Garnier fresh...i think its awsome. for cleansers i use proactive so i don't know about stuff in the store....it is essentially all the same so try something for ur skin type: dry, oily or combination. If u don't know what u are ur best bet is combination. also stick towards ones with little exfoliator beads in it. they work the best.
after using the round head tool, u need to disinfect your skin well (beauticians use that electric rod thing that stings a little), then use a pore tightener

Try Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs. Look for something like Spectro Jel or Cetaphil.

get some Cetaphil facewash (daily) and Aveda mask -- use the mask about once per week, the stuff is amazing! Increase your daily water intake and try to avoid touching your face...

I don't suggest using these strips as they pull the little hairs out with it.....basically its waxes your face and more hair grows back....and if you use it on your nose, you will get little black hairs growing in.....gross!

look for salicylic acid on the ingredients list. that is the best for blackheads because it is exfoliating
the higher strength ones are in the pharmacy usually in a section they lock up if they are closed.
try to stay away from the harsh beaded exfoliators for example: st.ives with crushed almonds because it is irritating to the skin. i use rice enzyme personally (dermatologica) and i think you can find it at the body store too.
i've always had a blackhead problem but ever since i started using a toner (dr. hauschka) they've pretty much cleared up.

Vitamin A cream is an expensive, prescription only method to eliminate blackheads and shrink pores, but it does work.

I'm still pretty lost on what to do with blackheads :(
I was using Biore facial wash to "remove" the blackheads but after like a year of using it; it really has no effect....
Can someone list the steps and the things to buy to remove blackheads Please?(most recommended and most successful)
Thanks~~

The best way is a facial. They have special tools that squeeze pores. Its usually 40 bucks for an hour of total relaxation. Then all you have to do is keep up with your normal skin cleaning program and just get like 2 facials a year.

Any local place is fine, as long as you think its legit. I live in New west so i got to Quayside Day spa (now Metro Day spa) and I like it there. If you go to a fancy place like ecotique then you are going to pay more. I pay 45 for mine. Its worth every penny
Bump. Any suggestions other than facials that I can do at home? I've seen the others but I'm wondering if there are new options now.

I actually have the same problem right now. I use the 4 in 1 Biore cleanser, then Cetaphil, but there are still some blackheads left at the sides of my nose. As for the top or near, its easy to take care of because they just come off.
What is a Toner btw? I'm really curious

In cosmetics, toner refers to a lotion or wash designed to cleanse the skin and shrink the appearance of pores, usually used on the face. Toners can be applied to the skin in different ways:
On damp cotton wool. (most frequently used method)
Spraying onto the face using a vaporiser
By applying a tonic gauze facial mask - a piece of gauze is covered with toner and left on the face for a few minutes.
Users often apply moisturiser after toner has dried.
