hey guys,

christmas shopping is coming and i am debating whether to buy my parents gift here in vancouver over at gucci holt renfrew or just buy in in hk airport when im in transit.

do any of you guys know the price difference between hk and vancouver?

will it be a lot cheaper to buy it in hk?

Most designer brands are cheaper in HK.

If you do decide to buy in Vancouver, you might want to try Rodeo at Oakridge.
They have a few Gucci pieces there...
Definitely cheaper than the Gucci store. I managed to pick up a ring for about 460$ after tax, but that was with 40% off the original tag price they had... Gucci store was selling it at $575...

The sales said that if you can manage to get them the model #, they can check and see if they can give u a price different price....But regardless, i think they'll give it cheaper than the Gucci store.... thats just my opinion though

i know that coach is cheaper in the states than here or overseas, but im pretty sure everything else is cheaper there but its pretty much just tax you're saving.

my mom works at the Gucci store, i can assure you it's cheaper overseas. The only real savings here in vancouver is during boxing week, other than that, you're paying premuim premuim

I think there's a Gucci sale starting on the 5th, at least it is in the US, and I heard it is here too (just like last time).

The prices are about the same. I actually checked when I went back. You might save a little with the currency rate but you save a lot on tax.

I was just in HK a month ago, the prices are virtually the same ...you only save the tax like the other posters have mentioned.

yea LV is more expensive in HK, I just did a comparison last week ... but w/ the added tax, its about the same
