^ jesus, that's terrible. Can you play with the Richmond Senior Men's team? I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem slotting age grade players in who wanted to play.

If you're looking to learn to play, my team is always looking for new players. No experience necessary, one of our club mandates is to train players new to the game.

I played in high school but haven't played since. I didn't know there were any sort of leagues or anything outside of high school in Vancouver.

Senior mens rugby is bigger in bc than it is in the rest of canada.

The capilano club is the largest in North America.

If anyone here is interested in playing, but you've never played before or it's been a while since you strapped on a pair of boots, my team is having a new players clinic this saturday, at Braemar Park. It's on Oak and King Edward behind the Safeway, and it starts at 11:00am.

PM me for more info or check out the website at our website (http://www.roguesrugby.ca/default.asp)

totally. We've got one guy hooking now, but after that, nothing. We do need a little more depth.

Bumping out an old as FUCK thread, but it beats starting a new one in a way.

Anyone on RS still playing, or is at least into rugby since '07?

I play loose/tight head prop on my HS team the last 3 years (final year now), and I intend to keep playing well into post-secondary, and likely after that. I want to maintain some kind of physical activity outside of just running and going to the gym after high school, so rugby is that solution.

I've been playing outside center / right wing for the past 5 years of high school. I tore my calf muscle in a recent game though so I'm out for the season :(

Played prop in HS until guys started to get bigger than me, then I played second row. A bunch of my buddies play for caps now

Played for a total of 7-8 years. (But haven't been on a pitch for a couple years)

Meralomas, SFU, BC Rugby (Provincial team)

Played mainly openside flank, and coached several high school teams. Just playing high school level in BC doesn't cut it for me. One or two good players can single-handedly win a game for a team at this level. But I respect guys for coming out to play and willing to bruise themselves. It's the only way for Rugby Canada to grow.

And I'm very excited for Canada in the world cup. I know several guys on that team and hope they do well for the country and the sport in this country.

Canada wins! Tough fought game and the boys showed great grit even though not having possession for most of the game.

Next up: France in 5 days.

That was a great game! Canada needed to win this one to even get a shot at making it to the next stage. My rugby coach is French and already ripped the shit out of Japan...most of the guys on my team know people on team Canada LOL. That'll be an interesting practice discussion

Canada's losing to Japan right now. The Japanese are playing their butts off. And the team's very discipline.

Ended up with the tie. This was definitely a winnable game. Japan played tough, made all their tackles, and was very very very disciplined.

Next up Canada versus the All Blacks. They're gonna rip us a new ass hole.
