the first mafia got a bit repetitive with the missions though :/
never beat the 1st Mafia, couldnt win that big race and i wasnt willing to use the save cheat/trick/bug to get around it :/

if you download the patch for the first game, it will allow you to choose the difficulty for the race.

I must have fluked out on that race because I remember everyone bitching about it but I don't remember it taking more then a couple tries.

mafia 1 was awesome... way better than the godfather game. They definitely nailed the era in that game... You can still pick it up on the bargain rack at Futureshop.

As much as I loved the original Mafia, I'd have to say GTA Vice City has the edge as my fav game ever.
