Just put in new Bedrrom windows, kitchen window, dining room window. Bathroom window that got sent out was the wrong one, so I have to wait for that, living room window's future is undecided as of yet. 4 New interior doors, new back door and new front door. New Furnace and hot water tank. 42" HD plasma for the living room with my old surround setup for now. Hooked up an FM mod (thanks spoo) to my computer, so now I can listen to whatever is on my computer in any room of the house, including the garage (free 5.1 setup from my buddy's house that caught fire).
Near future: Hook up the projector, hide wires for the surround, start building the basement.

gravel driveway and walkway, seeded and reseeded the front and back yard, built a shed this summer, wired for surround, ran coax/phone/ethernet cable to every room. going to be changing the carpet to hardwood in the next week or so, once it has aclimatized to the house, finally ditched cable and went StarChoice, got a new 72 inch HD tv to go with it, and a HD DVD player as well, next installing puck lights on the deck and in the soffits and getting rid of the carriage lighting, probably pot lights and track lights in the inside of the house and updating all the switches to dimmers.

w00000t! My buddy and I (we're renting a 2br basement suite) just got a 32" TV for free...only fault: speakers don't work. No problem, we also got a bookshelf stereo for free...so a trip to Wally World and 5-buck RCA cables later we have a kickin' setup on the floor of the living room.
Other mad modz to the DHT House (we're both reporters for the paper Daily Herald-Tribune and, so far, I've had 4 of our reporters living there lol) include couch cushions and a bean-bag chair for the living room (as well as some old-ass furniture we scored for free we're gonna put the TV on).
My room has a bunch of DUB cars and VW models, a gigantic BC flag, an inflatable mattress for a bed (courtesy of another reporter who moved back to Newfieland) and kitchen cabinets I found for free in Jasper acting as a dresser.
Damien's room is keepin' it real with a hide-a-bed he picked up for a cool fiddy-dolla bill and a desk one of our old reporters left behind.
Can you tell that we're both ready to get the fuck outta this town ASAP? ;)
My goal is to have only as much stuff as I can fit into my Zuki :D So far so good ;)
ooh...almost forgot my pride and joy: my remote control heater!!! That baby's a god's gift in -30 weather!!!

I am thinking about buying myself a nice xmas present as well. Anyone see some big plasma's for decent. Like 55" and bigger??? 1080x1080 or 1920x1080 hmmm....... Anyone recommend any particular brands for plasma??

If the boxing day deals are worthwhile, I'm in the market for probably a 42-46" 1080p plasma. Either an LG, Toshiba, Sony, or Samsung.

If you can be one of the first 10 in the door on boxing day, there are some great deals on those 10-per-store items, but other than that, boxing day sales are just well marketed, over-hyped sales that are priced the same every weekend throughout the year. bah-humbug

^ not true, I got some great deals on a DVD burner (+-R/RW), blank DVD's (ended up less than $0.20 a piece) and an external HDD last year from Futureshop, when I showed up around 7AM.
Visions is a total waste of time imo, last year there weren't many great deals and you could only get one thing. Plus the line was insane.

I am modding a house into my lifestyle November 14th, 4 level split, built in 2006 but never been lived in. Brand new everything with all appliances but washer and dryer (-$1700) from my money. Fireplace, master ensuite with tub and shower separated, huge tv room and massive open kitchen, living room and dining room with vaulted ceilings. Basement and back yard need more modding, which basement has rough in for bathroom and good space for a bedroom and tons of room for storage. Back needs deck, lawn and more parking (double car garage is full with both my cars and then the gf's out front and buddy's in the back). Can't wait to make it mine!

Also modded a pool table in my entertainment room and just added satellite TV today with a PVR, much better for watching the games and less money spent on Blu Rays with HD and PVR capabilities.
