I'm back from the mainland!

The shop who did the initial breakin totally fucked it up, so Ive got low compression in 2 cylinders.. I didnt bother swapping out the turbo for the bigger one either.

At any rate, these aren't excuses because I really dont need any, the car did awesome.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b165/92LegacySS/RSTI/Dyno/chart.jpg

Keep in mind this is an UNCORRECTED dynodynamics dyno. A stock STI will put down 215whp on this dyno (been proven). So assuming the same drivetrain losses, that means Im putting around 360hp out at the crank.

High 12 second daily driver, for a total cost of $17,700 including the tuning.

gunna get the car appraised?

Splinter
12-20-2007, 11:21 AM
There will be additional insurance coverage on it yes.

pheonix165
12-20-2007, 11:45 AM
they can void any coverage you have because the car is not registered as a turbo is all i meant.
getting the car appraised is just the easiest way to get through most of the obstacles if anything should happen to the car

The engine looks like it is on life support with all the tubes and piping and stuff :lol

So when can you start doing that to mine? :D

Splinter
12-21-2007, 03:43 PM
Finally got some decent pics.

The fitment issues on the hood and bumper are because of the front mount, and the charge piping.

Im hoping to resolve that stuff soon.

One of the previous owners has a shop that did some work on it.

RH motorsports or something.

Its going away as soon as I can find some thermally conductive paint

Check your cold side charge pipe where it is coming up from the intercooler. It is in contact with the metal and over a few weeks the steel will grind a hole in the charge pipe, use a 3inch rubber grommet! Other wise it will take forever to find the boost leak when one occurs!

Splinter

Its an Impreza, not a legacy :)

THey came with an STI motor in Japan, this one was swapped.

Nice wheels Steve!! I hope the offset you got is wheel bearing friendly!

17x10, +25

Using suspension from a newer impreza to give me about another 30mm of track on each side, then it's off to Protune Motorsports to bring out the fenders the rest of the way.

Wheel bearings are easy to replace ;)
