haha man this has potential for a decent movie, but i dont know if she is graceful enough to do all this fighting.

i think i remember her fighting in smallville and it wasn't the greatest (i dont remember). you need someone who will kick ass and look good a la zhang ziyi. some actors/actress dont have it in them to potray fighters.

A lot has changed over the years.
You can't judge batman based on the previous ones.

Comparing the batman we have now vs. the one in the 90's .. you see a huge difference.

kristen is cute and innocent... but maggie just screams hotness and seduction (but some ppl dun like her face... so i guess its 50/50 on that, i personally find her attractive)

but wait, then again Maggie Q isn't chinese either: Vietnamese and Irish-American descent. Raised in Hawaii - this mix is still good! :)

Chun Li doesn't even have to be Chinese. After all, does the original character really look Chinese? no.

But she shouldn't be portrayed by some lame random actress that has never done martial arts before.

Michael Clarke Duncan, Chris Klein and Rick Yune have joined the movie based on the popular Japanese video game franchise.

Duncan will play Balrog, while Klein is stepping into the role of Nash. Yune is taking on the mystical Gen.

Rounding out the cast are Moon Bloodgood, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, Singapore's Edmund Chen and Hong Kong film star Cheng Pei Pei.

Producers are still casting the film's villain, Bison.

20th Century Fox will distribute the action pic, set to begin filming in March. Shooting will take place in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Vancouver.

Andrzej Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds) is directing from a script written by Voltron writer Justin Marks. Hong Kong fight choreographer Dion Lam (The Matrix) is handling the extreme fight sequences.

Hyde Park chairman Ashok Amritraj and senior executive Patrick Aiello are producing. Video game publisher Capcom executive produces.

Horrible casting choice. I don't know how kristin kreuk is gonna sell the tough girl, bad ass look. She was obviously chosen for the marketability of her looks and her following, talent and appropriateness of character aside.

Kristin actually has years of training in Shotokan and we've put her thru many other various forms of fight training on Smallville in the last couple years.

That being said, I get the feeling this film will still be a disaster tho.

I know the character is Chinese, but I'm saying the actress who plays her doesn't necessarily have to be Chinese. She should look like Chun-Li though!
