: Dual monitor set up TIPS/SOFTWARE?

Hey, so i finally picked up one of my crt's in my other screen and plugged it in to set up a dual display for my desktop.

Now i was wondering if there's any tips/hints to maximizing this new desktop area.

i've installed ultramon and it's definitely helpful, any other softwares/hints that you have?

What else do you need? Nowadays, everything that you need is already built into Vista and MacOSX...other than Ultramon.

what does ultramon do?

I have 2 22' lcd's and i just use my nvidia drivers for the setup.

what does ultramon do?

I have 2 22' lcd's and i just use my nvidia drivers for the setup.
You can stretch the windows taskbar on both monitors and have different wallpapers on each screen.

new builds of ati and nvidia drivers can already do all that, even custom resolutions to eliminate overscans in tv's

powerstrip's not bad either

i have a dual screen setup and i was wondering if i can get audio from my screen speakers(while watching a movie for example) and get audio on my other speakers(while playing games/and on skype on the other for example)

Taskbar on both screens:
Right click Ultramon icon by the clock
Click Options
Click the Smart Taskbar tab
Check the box that says 'Use Smart Taskbar'
Press OK

Different BGs or one big BG:
Right click Ultramon icon by the clock
Click 'Wallpaper...'
Configure as desired..

i run display fusion
basically sounds like the same thing as ultramon, cept theres no trial basis stuff.

Maybe it's a hidden icon? If you're using Windows 7, click the ^ button to show your other system tray icons. Ultramon is the icon with two computer screens on it. Right click on that to bring up the pop up menu.
