Hey guys, I have a 2007 Storm Titanium Lotus Elise that I am letting go now that I have a baby. The 36-month lease started on July 27 '07 and put a $20,000 down payment. Lease payments are $830.54 per month after tax and with a residual of $34,500. Amazingly, this is little beauty is great on gas for what it does, I usually get about 320km's per tank (35L) from full to near empty. A definite head turner and the ladies love it! :ratedb: No accidents or stories. These are the specs and what I paid:

Not my car but just in case you don't already know what it looks like. I have the same colour and front splitter but my black wheels are different.

Sweet ride man. I wouldn't put too much faith into this site for selling an exotic like this. Put up a civic HB and you will sell. GL tho!

LoL, well, I have been on this board for quite some time now and there are definitely those with the means to acquire something that cost more than a Civic. I started off here with a '99 Integra, then I moved on to a '03 G35c, and I drive the Elise. I'm living proof that if you set your sights on something and work hard at it, almost anything is possible. Though, if no one wants it, I'll just use it as a commuter to work and use the wife's car when we need to go out with the baby...

Thanks for the comments guys...

I was an interested buyer until I broke it down.

If I get this right, the current buyout for your car today is CDN 67 420.00. Saying you want 13 000.00 back. Comparing with the quote I have in hand from Weissach I can buy a brand new Elise with change or I can buy a used modded/raced Elise for more. I might as well wait for you to give up your lease from Weissach and buy it from Weissach for a large fraction of the cost.

First of all, the buyout is around $50k+$13kdown=$63k. I have checked Weissachs inventory and they do not have any 2007 models in stock with my options so whatever your quote was, there is no way that you could get it for under $63k for the same car, period. An Elise with my options and without any of my aftermarket addons would run you closer to $70k.

Secondly, If no one wants to take the lease over, then I will just keep it as my commuter, its not really a big deal to me. There would be no reason that I would simply just give up the lease so dont hold your breath.

Thirdly, if you have something you want to discuss or have a comment, why dont you send me a PM and we can talk about it there instead of posting ur garbage in my post.

LoL, yeah, its not the best fit for everyone but I'm about 6' and 175lbs and I fit comfortably in it. Kai, the salesperson at Weissach is about 6'2"-6'3" and he squeezes into it as well, haha...

Still available to be taken over, I have lowered the amount I would like back from the down payment and have paid off another 5 payments. That's about $8k off the price and I just did the last tune-up/oil-change last week, next change is not needed until March '09. Driven less than 10,000km's in 16 months!!! Brakes and tires are at 90-95% left.

I have lowered the amount I am asking down to $6,000! That means you are saving over $20k from the price I paid if you decide to buy it out. The other option is to just make the payments for another 1.5 years and buy it out at the end of the lease for $34.5k. At todays gas prices, it only takes $30 to fill the tank with 94 octane and it lasts approx, 300 kms. It has only been driven 10,0xx km's over the last 18 months!

I'm semi interested. Does it have LSD?

DC Sports
06-18-2009, 10:38 AM
No, I got traction control as an option for those rainy days but LSD is usually only optioned by those that are planning to auto-x with it and that was not my intention. Also, the addition of LSD has shown to slow down stock Elises on the track as ones without the LSD perform better.

EDIT: For anyone that is seriously thinking about my Elise, I am very close to buying my sedan now and will be offering them my car as a swap unless I get a better offer from someone else.

Your car is very nice and the price looks good - I hope you sell it; however, that is NOT true.

A simple search over at the elisetalk forums will back up my claims of LSD slowing elises times down and prove that would I said IS true...
