Personally, I felt they already raped TF by making all the robots look like scrap metal glued on together. There's spikes and random debris of metal coming out in all direction, nothing is uniformed. Looks like some piece of abstract art with two arms and legs and a head. I really didn't like this new artwork. I know many people like it, maybe its the newschool thing. But I personally find it an overdone and failed attempt in trying to make the robots look more modern/futuristic and cool.

Okay, so I didn't grow up living/breathing/watching Transformers, but I thought the movie was pretty good. I did not watch it in IMAX. I also walked in with no expectations.

Some parts could have been cut out (like with the Sam storyline) since it was a tad tad long, but whatever, at least they made it funny.

Yeah, it had its flaws for screen time, but compared to the first movie this one had waaay more robot action. Which is what i loved about it.

I mean, yea, Shia and humans had a lot of screen time but that's what the storyline revolves around. Him finding things, robots chasing after him. So, i dont see why people are complaining about that =/ Cant really directly compare this to the tv show i dont think lol

but, def 10/10 :D

probably the only good thing I can think of about the movie is that there is a shitload of action.
the bad things are:

-the storyline was slightly confusing, I found a few things open ended
-no character development
-absolutely no ending whatsoever, one minute Prime had wings and blew up the machine next second hes on a motherfuckin' boat with the exact same ending as the first one once again fading off to mediocre Linkin Park music
-since when the fuck did a Transformer have the ability to become a human

I agree with a lot of peoples criticisms of the movie on here. They overdid the screen time of Sam's Parents and the "twins" were funny at the beginning but it got old. Other than these criticisms, it was a above average movie i give it 8.5/10

like what happened to the twins after they tried to stop devastator? were they on the aircraft carrier at the end?

prime mentioned that the fallen is unknown but yet optimus was a decendant of the primes from which the fallen was from. shouldnt he have known about the fallen and the matrix?

how can devastator be defeat so easily?

did megatron and starscream go back to cybertron? i guess we have to assume that

so if sam found the fragment, why did he not tell prime about it? and why did he not tell the other robots that he has a fragment and possibly revive prime then and there? if that happened, then i guess it would be a totally different story.

Terrible, terrible movie. Michael Bay tends to follow a set formula for his films and, typically, they work. However, this time it failed horribly. From the very first few minutes of the film that, of course, is full of action and explosions, to more than half way through the film, I couldn't stop looking at the time and wondering how the hell I could sit through the rest of the film. That first scene failed to grab my attention at all. I can't put my finger on what it was, but it just sucked. There was too much focus and introduction of various Autobots and Decepticons that simply died thirty seconds later. Yes, it's a movie about Transformers, but at the same time, you put in too many insignificant characters and you start loosing people's interest. To be honest, the only scenes I actually enjoyed were the ones with the Marines (or whatever their Spec-Op's team is called). Those type of action scenes are ones where Bay actually excels at and in Transformers he didn't fail to please. The Twins... ugg, I wanted to kill myself every time they made an appearance on screen.

The CGI was so-so. Some scenes were absolutely fantastic for it, others were horrible. Many of the shots with the robots looked like they were quickly added in and never fully rendered and blended in with the rest of the scene. This was very obvious in the first half of the film, especially in the close up one-on-one fights between Autobots and Decepticons.

Lots of very obvious flaws in the movie, but hey... it's a Bay action film about childhood toys. It was never going to win an Oscar for it's elaborate script or deep plot, nor for shot continuity or believability.

That said...

It needed more slow motion shots of Fox!!! :lol

- too many new robots but no development for them, cared less about them because of that
- plot was weak
- the twins were annoying, jokes got old fast
- some cheesy Shia and Megan love scenes

The scene with Optimus taking on Megatron, Starscream and some other decepticon was crazy though, best scene of both movies

What's with all those scenes where the camera circles everything? Got annoying fast!

Overall I thought the movie was pretty bad compared to the first one. Sad to say I was pretty disappointed.
