shawn79: The draft is at 7pm, i wouldnt worry much about it. The first 2 to 3 rounds are usually pretty obvious who you are picking anyways, so just prerank and you should be back for round 3 or 4.

Your util is collecting points if you have a util in that position. 2 years ago when we had util, I had iginla in that spot every single night cuz I had 2 awesome centres already.
the util is an extra guy foro those nights when you have every spot on the roster full. its a bonus player/position.

the guys who aren't locked into a position will not receive points for your team for that day. you gotta have your players set into the positions before the game starts. you will figure it out the first day dont worry.

rank and o rank is like.. umm i think its yahoo's ranking system for that specified player and i dunno the other one is like original rank or something. I wouldnt worry about that too much. If you want to find out, just click help on the top and they have explanations for everything.

Yea, those are the guys who are out, you gotta put them into roster positions for their games.

The whole strategy to this, is picking the best players for their respected position for a certain day. if you had 2 center spots, and one was already crosby, and you had to choose either morrison or i dunno iginla, who would u put in? who would u sit out? thats the idea.
some nights there arent alot of games so you just put in who ever is playing, but saturdays (busiest days in the nHL) you gotta figure out who is hot and who is not cuz your gonna have to bench some of your guys.

Yes. everyday you are juggling your players. You can however set your players a couple days, or a week in advance so that you dont have to move them everyday. However if you perform any type of waiver transaction or trade, it will reset your players and you have to put them back to the positions you had them. Just a headsup.

It can be, I believe, up to 15 or 20 mins prior to the puck drop.

One thing you can't do tho.. say your guy had an early game like 2pm, you can't take him out after his game is over and then put in a new guy for a 7pm game lol. I tried that before but they won't let you. Bastards.

All the players are on waivers right now. They won't clear till tomorrow (24th), then they will be all Free Agents and you can sign as you please. You have technically used up your Waiver spot if you made a move now.

i honestly would take a chance on mccabe as he will get pp1 time and he is somewhat offensive opposed to seabrook who wont get pp1 minutes. even corvo is a better option imo. id def take horton over bouchard, sykora is injured i think. and lastly gagne will light it up this year as long as he's healthy. malone wont do much fantasy wise so id rather have gagne. not sure if they play the same position

Benny, i would improve your winger positions. Besides your top picks, im not sold on them. Semin hasnt really proven he can put up top notch numbers again, although i would keep him strictly on potential as your third LW. Malone is horrible fantasy wise, and if you watched the game today, he was nearly invisible on the ice. Gagne is the wild card on that waiver list, cause he could really put up huge numbers. Safe bet is horton on that weak Florida team, but unless you're dropping a RW he's not needed. IMO Corvo is an upgrade on Seabrook (Campbell is gonna eat up pp time).

Well, I picked up Horton and dropped Sykora (I really should've just kept him though as you'll see, oops). I also added McCabe, Liles and Demitra. I would've definitely loved to pick up Gagne, but I'm worried about injuries. I'm looking to see how Malone pans out in TB (he was a late draft pick anyways), and with an extra roster spot still left, I think I'll pick up another goalie for later on as trade bait, and drop Seabrook for Niskanen or Ranger.
