i think it was more of a ploy to get him on her side. she said she'd feed him so he'd have some kinda incentive to stay with the company, other than the fact that her little secret has probably piqued his interest.

i think they were referring to the mindset of the new villains. no matter how powerful sylar was, he wasn't really the type to kill for pleasure, at least in the more traditional sense. sylar killed to feed his hunger. the other guys were getting their jollies off hurting random people.

Technically peter got sylars powers the first time they met, since peter apparently just sucks in powers of people he comes in contact with (eg: he already got the level 5 flame guys powers). He just needed some kind of trigger to activate the power and fixing the watch is what did it, at least thats what i think.

When he was at Sylar's house and Clair was pointing the gun at him, he could of froze time and got everyone out of the house. Or he could of used Matt's power to mind control each one of them to get out or some shit. Peter is like the most powerful of everyone, yet he's too much of a bitch to do anything.

I mean a full proof way of taking powers away was pretty much discovered in season 2 (a strand of the shanti virus + claire's blood) that would have completely cured nikki but well she died before she could be fully cured. So yeah totally confused as to why he doesn't just do that.

I thought Mohinder was immune to the shanti virus. Something to do with him surviving while his sister died.

I think they have those cells there for people who are bad but CAN"T get out. Like none of the level 5 people had any teleportation or walk through walls ability and neither did sylar. Only Hiro does who was placed in a cell, but they have the Haitian dude standing gaurd.

I think the level 5 cells are made differently compared to the level 2 ones. You are able to destroy/use your powers effectively in level 2. In level 5, the walls/doors/windows are more secured.

In season 1, Sylar was locked up in level 2 cell but was able to break the glass window with telekinesis(when Eden came to talk to him).

A few episodes ago in a level 5 cell, Flint, the blue flames guy was shooting flames at the window and it wasnt able to break it or anything.

I'm still watching Heroes... but it has made 2 utterly colossal writing errors that will ultimately destroy the show by putting it in position to be constantly assailed for decisions the characters make and causing the show to become a bit of a "joke" so-to-speak:

1) Giving 1 or more characters ultimate power, people are already asking a lot of questions why Peter couldn't defeat this situation etc...

2) Using time travel and "the butterfly effect" as a plot device

Both these factors lead a story into endless implausible plots and unexplicable character decisions and too many factors to consider when making scripts to ever be accurate or have someone point out you did something retarded. CLASSIC mistakes, no idea why Heroes has done this :(

I think that Peter can only mimic the powers that he experiences. Sylar has a handful of other powers(alchemy, super hearing, cryokinesis, enhanced memory, etc.) but he has not displayed all his powers infront of Peter.

Peter was at the gas station/bank when Flint was shooting the blue flames. So he is able to mimic it.

But about Arthur Petrelli and if Peter has lost all his powers. It would be pretty farfetched if Arthur is able to absorb all powers. That means all of Peter's powers would be gone...pretty retarded. Or maybe Arthur is like his son and can only absorb the powers he experiences as well.

If you're referring to the scene where Sylar was sitting next to the car while Claire, HRG, and vortex guy were talking - I believe he heard what they said, but he chose to act on it.

Sylar then brought it up later, in the scene where they were in the car, when Claire was talking with HRG.

I'm reading about the episode, and it doesn't seem to support what I thought happened. Maybe Sylar just plain didn't care what HRG and Claire were saying at the carnival.

I'm certain Sylar did hear the conversation between HRG and vortex guy, if i remember correctly he made slight movements towards HRG and vortex guy but decided to wait it out.
As for Peter, the fun parts were watching him mess around with his absorbed powers, i can't imagine what they plan for him now, i just hope they turn this power-loss of his around very soon. The turn of teams is also getting interesting, good vs bad ain't so clear now.
Since the 3 out of 4 Petrelli boys end up absorbing all other powers one way or another, i hope Nathan deep down inside his genes has some hidden ability...

She's around somewhere. She did get captured by a group of guys but Micah and Niki went to rescue her which lead to the unforunate death of Niki Sanders. Nevertheless the mimicing cousin is alive but she will probably enter the story again soon, the show always includes everybody once in a while, and all their stories/lives are connected so just keep an eye out.

I got tempted to venture in this thread, even though I haven't watched yesterday's ep yet. (because I don't watch them on TV). But I haven't opened up any spoiler tags yet, so it's all good.

I think the powers are pretty inconsistent. There are many loopholes. This is the problem with this show. It was awesome in the first season, and tings were still fresh and original. But now it's getting old and tiresome. The surprises/twist don't have the same kind of impact anymore, and occasionally, some of them are quite predictable. The third season is still better than the second one I think, but certain characters have to start dying. I can see them just being filler, and if they could rewrite the plot, they could of changed it and cut out a bunch of them. Hiro and Ando is start to really piss me off now. Just Hiro actually. They do add comical relief in the show (once again, hollywood makes the Asian character to be the humor clown of the show), but it's really getting old. Is he gonna be a dumbass for the rest of the show? when do we see cool Hiro, the one from the future in season one that met Peter in the train? He has such a strong power but his stupidity amazes me. The only character that has lower common sense is Peter. He was serious business at first, but now I think he's a moron too. Does he even think before he acts? Just him coming back to shoot his own brother as if that was the only logical solution makes him a dumbass. So future and present Peter are both idiots.

The Haitian's powers are inconsistent. We were to believe it only blocks mental powers in season one, such as Matt's and Sylers. (That's how Nathan flew away even in his prescense). But did his powers evolve now? He can now stop any type of power now? Is it a passive power? Potentially, the Haitian can be the strongest character if he can really stop everyone's power. Yet maintain the ability to use his own mind erasing ability.

I have yet to see everyone use their abilities with logic to their full capacity. (Peter couldn't read Adam's mind to find out he had evil intentions in season 2? You really mean Syler couldn't break down the closet door Claire was hiding in, with any one of his destructive powers?) Probably because the show would be over very quickly, issues would be solved in one episode, and this show would then really suck.

I see two sides forming, and what could potentially save this show for me to fully enjoy it and say its "kick ass" is if they really do have an epic battle like they had promised. (in an interview, they said season 2 would have it, but it was no where to be found) They have some good stand offs, and the only thing remotely close to that was in Syler's house when present Peter went into the future, and other characters came to get him. More of that please. And let's see some more fighting back. Why is it that everytime someone get's attacked, it's always one sided. Like I said, they are already holding back their powers, because if any one character used his power to it's full capabilities, it would end just like that. But since character's like to hold back for the sake of this show, at least let them duke it out then.

There have definitely been some good things to come out of Season 3 thus far. But I just expected the execution to be better in 3. We all know of all the major problems in Season 2 and the creator listened to the public and made changes and season 2 got better towards the end. I was led to believe that he would continue to listen into Season 3 but it looks like that wasn't quite the case. Either way I still do like watching the show but my patience is starting to wear thin.

Agreed. I mean I watch it anyways but I don't get hyped about it anymore wanting to watch it as soon as it finishes downloading. I usually hold off for a couple days until I have nothing to do.

The idea of the show is still good, some of the things they do are great but the story telling is just fucked. There are so many things going on you can't focus on anything and you can really care less too. They need to chill out and stop throwing shit left and right at you and just focus on 1 thing.

This was the big "selling point" of what I liked Heroes in the first place. But things just got way too sloppy. There's always some kind of cliff hanger at the end of each episode which is good. Keeps us watching, despite knowing the show will never have it's "magic" again like in the first season.

Gee, was anyone surprised when Claire came back to life in the last ep? :eek1: Like really, people that die, we really don't care because we either know they are gonna come back alive, or they are characters we really wished never existed in the first place. Did anyone shed a tear when the "African isacc mendez" died? Anyone even remember who he was? Him and his BS spirit walk. Waste of air time. For all I care, Parkman and Hiro could of got drunk at a bar, passed out, and had a dream about it all instead of needing to go to Africa to get the visions.

Hiro's character is annoying because it's used as comic relief. He plays a big part for the show, but turning him into a 10 year old just doesn't help at all. I can't take his character serious even if he's doing big things.


The relationship with Claire and Slyer is getting really messed up. And from last episode, it seems like it just raised the bar to an entirely new level of messed up. And of all places, Hiro sends them to a "romantic" setting like a beach...


Good thing is, Peter actually seems like a smarter character now that he has lost his powers. Maybe our expectations has dropped dramatically because we know he can't do anything anymore. As before, he could do SO MUCH yet he does nothing. At least now, he has a very valid excuse. And Nathan's becoming weird.

Overall, the show has way too many characters. It's not really necessary, and instead of hiring so many actors/actresses, they could invest that money in bigger battles with a good use of special effects. (Their special effects aren't bad, but every battle lasts 3-5 seconds long.)

For example, the Vortex guy was cool, they could of kept him around actually. But they killed him off within the same episode he was introduced. and what was the point of that? What was the point of having the Marrionette guy?

I'm really starting to get so annoyed at Claire and her persistency to want to fight. She's one of the dumbest characters in this show. She has no offensive powers, her 5'1" 100 lbs physique is not exactly gonna help, I really wish she would die, but she's the most important character in the entire show.

I've been watching this show since the beginning, so it would feel empty if I just deserted it now, without at least watching it until the very end just to see how it turns out. But I'll have to say I am disappointed right now. The sloppy plot holes, (I don't even mind the time travelling plot holes, I'm just talking about the plot holes where characters aren't using their abilities to their full potential), too much extra things added without a real point (excessively huge cast of characters), the story is dragging in certain areas, so it makes it hard to follow from beginning to end, yet the show isn't good enough be watched again a second time... yeah, I'm quite disappointed.

He's got the power to control the fabric of space and time, and yet decides to stand there for 10 seconds when he sees Papa Petrilli? It not like he doesn't have his memories of how evil he thinks the guy is, but instead he just stands there dumbfounded long enough to get grabbed by the psychic grab? With a power like time travel, it just doesn't make any sense as to how you could allow yourself to get captured. Yeah we've been enjoying that more than anything on this season... Sometimes he'll start a phrace with an accent, and finish it with perfect US English! Sometimes it will fluctuate between on and off throughout a single sentence :lol

Hahaha omg I only noticed it for the first time at the end of last week's episode, when Ando, Parkman, and Daphny are looking at that comic of Hiro hanging from that pole.

It was the accent he put on pronouncing Hiro. In his japanese way, he usually says it like "He-roh" with a very sharp first syllable. However, in the end of that episode he said it very american like "He-er-roe" lol.
