Okay guys, there hasn't been one in a while so i'm going to organize one.

Who: You, your friends, whoever. just let me know cause i have to make an appointment.
What: Blood Drive. Come out, Donate blood, get free cookies ;D.
Where: 4750 OAK STREET
When: Dec. 13th
Why: Because there are lots of people out there that need blood the hospitals don't have
How: Just show up. 1st time? no problem, the nurses will help you through the application process. not a noob? excellent, we need more people like you.

ok, so here's how it works, i need as many people as possible to sign up as soon as possible. the closer we get to the date, the less likely there will be space. ideally i'd like to make the appointment by no later than the 5th.

there are a few requirements.

you must be 17yrs+
100lbs+
you must bring photo id if new + date of birth proof
no piercings/tattoos within 6 mth, antibiotics/dentist/flu shot within 1 week, cannot have cold/flu at all (safe time would probably be a month, but call the clinic for confirmation.)
have not traveled inter-continentally within 6mth

when we get closer to the day i will contact you all for the following; phone # and date of birth.
so i'll start the list.

I got a call from them last week asking me to donate but I said I couldn't.

They used my left arm last time I went to donate blood. A couple of days/week later my arm started developing this excruciating pain and I wasn't able to straighten my arm out for days.

ok, so i hate to do this to you guys again, but it has to move again.
i couldn't get spots for this weekend, and their advertisements must be doing their jobs because they are booked solid to the 13th of Dec.

i have made an appointment for Dec. 13th, from 10.15-10.35 for 8 ppl. if more people want in let me know asap as there are lots of spots available so far, but the closer we get, the quicker they disappear.

once again i apologize for dropping the ball, i've just recently changed departments at work, and have been busy getting up to speed.

but as i said the appointment for the 13th has been booked for 8 ppl.

I saw the numbers up on the wall and RS did quite bit in 2007. 40 something. This year was at 18 until today. I was late and was the last to show up. I asked the receptionist how many showed up and she said I was the fifth one to show up under Revscene. It felt good to give.

Thanks for organizing the event, Inaii. Hopefully more will show up at the next one, in February???

Just donated blood today. It's my third time this year. I was getting the iron content of the blood checked and right in front of me was the wall of "Partners for Life". I think Revscene was at 13 for the entire year. So sad. Anyway, that's when I realized, I didn't let them know that I was there as a Revscene member. Edit: It takes one hour of your time to donate and saving three lives is pretty good. Some tips. Drink lots of water. THis makes your ateries nice and fat and juicy. Eat before you go, so you don't faint like a girl. It's pretty much painless. Oh, don't go right after you've had a flu shot. I think within 48 hours or something like that.

Also, don't bother if you have been out of the country or had sex with monkeys. Actually, handling monkeys even is a no no. Having had sex with a hooker is also a no no...... well, there goes half of RS, LOL.
