Study, close to Richmond...
I searched and read all the threads on the 'place to study' topic
I need one where I don't have to buy a coffee to be able to stay and is open until at least 12am, doesn't seem like there's such a place.

Yeah, these days Tim Horton employees usually don't allow people to stay there to study... which really sucks.

Your profile says you live in Richmond.. What's stopping you from studying there?
It's kind personal anyways my step dad is really loud at home, verbally/tv/jukebox, and my ears can't classify that as ambient noise
I've been going to a friend's everyday for the past month but it's more troublesome and I don't really want to bother him that much, maybe if i find a good place I can do half/half 'cause I don't want to waste money on drinks everyday as well

Estea?
I think you could just buy 1 drink and stay there forever, it's quite deserted on the weekdays so it's not too loud.
Me and the bf go there to study sometimes.

there is a new place near cambie and garden city called bean around the world
that place is brand new, nice, smells good, and is clean and is open 24/7
it's right across the cambie street from pearl castle (and that whole outer mall)

I still don't understand the appeal of working or studying at a coffee shop...

Kind of unorthodox, but the airport provides free wifi, and is opened 24/7 =D

^i thought you have to pay to use wifi at the airport
^no..if you have your own laptop, wifi is free. you only pay if you use their computers.

Wingman: Parking at YVR isn't considered cheap, but if OP really wanted to, he could bus there, plus its so dead at night time, less distractions =) Just bring a backpack, if security asks you, tell them you're waiting for a flight! lol
Or go with a buddy who works at the airport and has employee parking =)
