OMG, I absolutely loved FF2... then hated FF3.
But now, Chrome is what FF3 should have been.
Chrome is like looking out the Window but with no glass blocking your view.

I noticed a lot of problems with Chrome. Some youtube videos can't be played, you can't view image properties, and some files can't be downloaded.

out of beta? RC?
I thought it was going to be a few more months.
nvm, i checked from a source.
Expect it from windows auto updates.
I can't wait.
Even though FF is my primary browser, I do like IE's drop down bookmark and Chrome's fast bootup and page load times.

IE8 looks kinda neat.
I like the Web Slice feature, is it just another name for Feeds but with added features?
InPrivate browsing is also a new feature. Chrome calls it Incognito.
And sites that were meant to be viewed with older browsers now can be viewed in IE8 with the Compatibility View.
Also, the Accelerator can map locations just by highlighting the address. If only they added maps.google.com and not use live.com

I'm still having trouble understanding the coloured tabs.
I think it's colour coded by tabbed, favourites and session... etc.

Tabs do load longer.
It seems everyone is experiencing this problem.
This will be my main browser till Chrome implements addons.

No issues with the tabs here but the tabs are setup differently in IE8;

opps accidently double posted..
chrome doesn't have any add-ons, so as for adblocker, gotta use an external software.
chrome is fast, but every new tab you use, it creates a new process. i think that is the only reason why its fast.

IE8 also does this for every tab.

IE8 uses multiple processes when tabbing (even if it's only one tab opened) and as we speak I currently have 4 processes running but only have 2 tabs opened.

Same here. When you click on a new tab, it lags for about 1-2 seconds. It's the same delay when you click on a link that opens a new tab/window. Slightly annoying since I'm impatient. I usually expect another tab or window to open (even if it hasn't loaded the page yet), and I end up clicking it a few more times because I thought I may have not clicked it properly.
It's alright. It seems to freeze a lot less than my IE7 browser in Vista, but I'm sticking with FF for now.

So I've been test IE8 for the last week or so and this is what I found;
- Freezes a lot including freezing up my desktop making me restart my computer or restarting explorer.exe a few times
- Pages for the most part load much slower and I've also noticed IE8 gets choppy when you load a page with tons of images. I don't suspect CPU or ram issues because I have a quad core with 4gb's of ram.
- Tabs feel much slower compared to IE7
- Still can't figure how multiple iexploers.exe which takes up more memory has made this crap faster compared to IE7 or firefox.
Overall it seems like your typical bloatware crap that Microsoft has been releasing of late which includes the god awful new MSN messenger. I'm sticking with Firefox and using Chrome as backup.

Couldn't have agreed more.
I loaded NCIX's promo page and it was choppy till half of the images were shown which then made scrolling possible.
I wouldn't call it bloat and there really isn't anything unstable, IE doesn't freeze on me. Microsoft had admitted loading tabs are slow, and they DO NOT plan to fix it not until a new release of IE.
RAM and memory is not an issue for me, asides from the new look which I like and the drop down Favourites, I'll go back to FireFox.

Went back to firefox after an hour with it lol. The slow ass tabs were annoying as hell. So much nicer with instant new tab in firefox.

Well I had the right click problem earlier but ran into other problems today as well. I couldn't open any programs on my desktop and my right click disappeared. Tried closing IE8 and everything seem to work but when I opened IE8 I had the same issues. Scanned for virus/spyware and found nothing. There was an issue with "right click" on the beta IE8,
"Hello Everybody...
I have a problem when a right-click a link, IE closes with the typical error
The DLL which is causing the error is "IEFRAME.DLL"
It's only a suggestion for IE8 Final...because I use other browser, I was
just testing this beta release of IE8 (is Beta2)"
I got fed up with all the bugs in IE8 so I uninstalled it and went back to IE7. I'll be sticking to IE7 and FF for now.

The delayed tabs are caused by SPybot immunizations to IE.
De-immune IE and the delayed tabs issue is gone.
IE works great now.
Loading takes < 1 sec, and new tabs take <1 sec.

If I'm not mistaken (and I very well could be), but aren't a lot of the "immunizations" from S&D just modification to the hosts file to point "suspect" sites back to localhost?
I wonder what new mechanism there is in IE8 that wasn't in any other browser version that would choke at a few hundred entries in a host file?

I haven't tried IE8 or chrome, but for Firefox, there's an addon to set the new tab as your homepage. I've been using this since day one and I've always had google as my homepage. Still loads super fast. Besides, no one really wants to stare at a blank screen when they open a new tab, AND who doesn't set google as their homepage anyway? jkjk. The addon's called "new tab homepage" for those of you who don't want to see a blank screen after opening a new tab.

IE8 still has some bugs with the right click, and tab management, but only because it's in beta mode
I'm sure Microsoft will fix it

IE8 in beta?
Uhm, no.. ?
If anyone is still experiencing new tabs being slow to load (which I assume you have Spybot installed), de-immunize IE8.
IE8 is good and is now my default browser.
