http://image.com.com/tv/images/genie_images/story/2008/k/kiefersutherland_star.jpg (http://www.tv.com/kiefer-sutherland/person/56579/summary.html)
Only four types of people end up on Hollywood's sidewalks--runaway teens, celebrity impersonators, tourists, and entertainment superstars. Thankfully for the latter, they only have their name and hand prints out there so they can retreat to their mansions in the hills.
The latest Hollywood star to get a Hollywood star on the famous Walk of Fame in Los Angeles is Kiefer Sutherland, star of Fox's 24. The 41-year-old actor was on Hollywood Boulevard today to see his star unveiled, and if you don't believe me, check out the picture on the right!
Sutherland, son of Dirty Sexy Money's Donald, started acting in 1983, grabbing the role of Bill in Max Dugan Returns. His big break came in Stand By Me, and he became a heartthrob in The Lost Boys in 1987. After a career spent mostly in feature films, Sutherland took the role of special agent Jack Bauer in 2001's 24, which continues to be a success today.
After a season off, 24 returns early next year.
Congratulations, Kiefer!
Not only will be he pwning baddies but he also has times to get a star

Hard to say. Depends what old characters are returning. Honestly if I were you watch from the very 1st season. Power thru all of them in a few weeks (thats what I did), then DL the ones you missed this season cause there is no way you can get through 6 seasons in a week to catch up to now....oh wait you could do it in 6 days but with no sleep.

Well actually minus commercial breaks, each episode is only 43 minutes long. 24 x 43 = 1032 minutes / 60 = 17.2 hours. So realistically you could watch 6 seasons over 6 days with over 6 hours of sleep per night. :p

You could just watch this season and be ok. Each season is its own plot but there will be the odd time where they might bring up a relationship between 2 people about something that happened in the past. But overall there isn't anything you really really need to know. Still I would suggest watching all of them because trust me you WILL want to watch 6 previous seasons of Jack Bauer wooping ass regardless if it ties into Season 7 or not.

first of all, i did have a tough time with the first husband (not sure if that's the correct term) trying to find info out the son's gf. I totally forgot that story line of who the son was. was it the kid that stole the hard drive and got killed?
For those who don't know, someone came back for this season which was decent to see him with a diff look, more terriorist look to him which was interesting. I still can't see how the gov't can have no idea how to stop the threat. they are just totally blind sighted.
Love it how Jack is able to find out there is a mole in the office in like the first eposide than like.... at the 23th hour being Nina.... ahahahahah
oh.. and billy from entourage is in it.. interesting change of character ... no wonder walsh is no longer in entourage no more.

No, his wife Michelle did (she got into a car that was booby trapped).. although he was injured in one of the explosions.. then when he was taken to CTU he tried to kill Henderson and Henderson ended up injecting him with a syringe with chemicals. He never got the silent clock though (at least from what I can remember).. we just assumed he died

someone called it for tony in being a good guy... nicely done.
Chloe will always be the IT girl that has a stick up her bum look. yes she did look a lot better when she was at the door. I want to see her with the nicer outfit in (i think season 5).
a very diff. approach for this season esp. when he has always been the 'i'm here to save the world' guy, now he's the 'I'm a bad guy' which is a change in pace.
I'm not a big fan of how homeland security being such a crappy ass office, CTU was a huge, nice, professional IT monitor everywhere, big screen setting. Home land office loooks like just a crappy 1 level office which i am not impressed. Billy Walsh (entourage guy) using level 5 password to get clearance for flight patterns is just BS.
^ I dont think that's Homeland, I think it's the FBI office? And yes, it does look like a low-rent telemarketer company office.
No ones getting bored? Its the same formula 7 seasons running. And Jack Bauer is as 1 dimensional and as predictable as he's always been.
OOoooh! A Dilemma. I wonder which decision Jack will choose
I wish Kiefer Sutherland would do a little bit more to the JB character other than just the honourable, stand up guy, who will always choose his duty over himself at any time.
Jack Bauer jokes aside, JB's personality in inhuman.
My god.
Jack + Tony back together.

At the end of season 6, Audrey was pretty messed up from Chinese torture/drugs, and was being cared for by her father, James Heller. Jack went to see her and decided that it was best he let her go.

i really wnat to see what happens to renee walker. the silent clock clicking... quite interesting no how she will / is / died or wahtever u want to call it. gotta wait for next week.
FYI, i can't stand Billy Walsh is cheating with his wife and that office is such a low scale telemarketing operational office.
Disagree, if you check the preview for next week's episode the dude tony's is working for says to jack (while holding a gun to his head/hostage style) "what was that back there", and jack says to tony "SHOOT" so I'm pretty sure she's not dead

i am not sure how long that's going to last on the show. keefer sutherland said that he didnt' want to get hurt on 24 (in the eposides for his character) cause if he did he would have to film with the same bandage, cast, skratches on his face etc. during the entire shoot of all the eposides.

That's exactly the point... in most "normal" shows, where episodes are set days or weeks apart, if there's a stated timeline at all, a character can get hurt in one ep and have to be all bandaged and patched up, and be back to perfect health by the next episode.
Since all of a 24 season takes place in a single day, if Jack cuts himself shaving at the start of the "day", he has to wear that band-aid for the rest of the season, or screw up continuity.

what, i thought thi season was uber boring and i've watched a lot of 24. i hate the low profile CTU or office. I'm still trying to find out who the mole is in that office.
I do enjoy having another female co-lead along with Jack cause it does bring in another lot of dynamics into the story line. It's interesting that this season, and we're only in like the 5 eposide and all terriorist already died off.
I mean, the module is gone already, the pres. husband is found, Dabuku is alive and well. All the antagonist all died so i'm interested in what in the world they're going to do now to continue the storyline.

I find it odd that you claim you've watched a lot of 24, but aren't feeling the flow of the storyline. Most seasons of 24 follow the stardard 8 episode story arcs, and this season seems to be no different.

I can't wait til next week.. wtfffffff, she opened the doorrrrrrrr.. i totally wished jack would have kicked her ass and not open that door. I am sort of pissed how aaron pierce did a shitting job killing the army dude.
PS, i would tap the president's daughter.

Does the White House seriously sit over water? I also thought it was kind of dumb how all the secret service agents pulled back without proof that the president was alive. Other than that it was a rock solid, action packed 2 hour episode.

haah its a TV Show, a lot of things on 24 are coincidental!
Terrorists broke into CTU so I'm sure with enough planing Whitehouse isn't that far fetched. Seems like Jon Voight hooked them up good, and we still don't know who is yet!

I think i'm losing the appeal for 24. I'm getting mixed receptions about this season..some episodes are great but some are just like..wha? again? This might be biased after reading some IMDB posts, but they've used the panic room twice and two leads were killed in the hospital..all in one season. that and the fact that there's been more than 3 main antagonist in the season makes it seem choppy. I was hoping for the remainder of the season jack could tie up some loose ends to his past problems (his daughter etc etc).
poor jack's family/friends are cursed...all dying one by one..
It's sad to say this but i think they should make the next season their last before the series gets butchered since you can pretty much sense the writer's are running outta ideas after 7 terrorists attacks.

From what I've read, there's one more season in the works, which will lead up to a full length feature film. As far as I know, that's likely going to be it for the show. To be honest, while I like the idea that you're essentially watching an entire day in the life of JB every season, there's just so much going on that it defies belief a little too much. At least by chopping it up into a full length feature, you can dispense with the assumptions that everything is happening "now" and can at least jump a couple hours ahead in the span of a fade-to-black transition.
OH MY GOD

this was one reason why i was sort of not as excited this season, it's the choppy and the multiple terroist that keeps on dying and then new ones coming up made it really hard for me to really follow.
the panic room was ok, the first time was some weak african's wife and the second time, we're talking about the president + someone dying which was ok. If air force one could have enough items and supplies for the president to run the country, i doubt the safe room at the white house is just a room with nothing to get help.

It was also quite obvious that it wasn't the police... because they knew the senator was in some sort of harm, so if it was the police/fbi/etc, they would just kick down the door and storm in.
Also, when JBau, threw that thing into the guy's chest, was it a screw driver or a knife? It was so dark I couldn't make out what it was. LOL :haha:
It was a flat-head screwdriver if i'm not mistaken. He later took it out of the guy's chest and used it to start the truck he drove off in.

That was what I thought! But I asked my friend and he said it was a knife that the guy dropped.
Even though it was a construction site and the weapon being a flathead screwdriver would be plausible, it's sooo impossible to throw it through someone's chest LOL it looked like the guy was wearing a bulletproof vest too hahaha. Then again, Jack Bauer's crazy like that :haha:

1) jack is giong to be MIA with his illness. will they bring back his daughter
2) it's good now that jack isn't on the spot light all the time cause this means Tony an other characters get to take the lead of the show. gives it a better dynamic and not always jack jack jack jack all the time.
3) pres. daughter recording the sex tape. ahhahha, must have been the fastest booty call ever. i wonder how many sercret services guys has to stand outside (in real life.. well maybe more common for clinton's presidency)ahhahhaa

’24′ May Return To Fox As Limited Series: Report
Kiefer Sutherland in talks to reprise lead role
AJ Marechal
TV Reporter
@Variety_AJM
One surprising news tidbit emerging during a day filled with series orders from the Big Four has to do with a show that left the airwaves three years ago: Fox’s “24.”
Fox is eying a limited series revival of the real-time thriller, according to a report on Deadline. Kiefer Sutherland, who toplined the serialized program, is in talks to reprise his role as covert agent Jack Bauer. Sutherland may have time on his hands now that it appears his Fox drama series “Touch” will not be renewed for a third season.
“24″ ran eight seasons on Fox. It also picked up 20 Emmys during its run, including best drama series in 2006. Rumors swirled last year that the 20th Century Fox TV/Imagine TV series would inspire a feature film with Sutherland attached, but plans never came to fruition and the movie concept was canned.

So 12 episode season of 24. Does that mean this time Jack solves the next crisis in only half a day? Or will they forgo the traditional 1 Day clock and have it span over a few days or weeks?

So 12 episode season of 24. Does that mean this time Jack solves the next crisis in only half a day? Or will they forgo the traditional 1 Day clock and have it span over a few days or weeks?
Sounds like it will still take place over the span of 24 hours but skip hours
Jack Bauer will be back, baby: EW has confirmed that Fox will bring back its long-running hit 24 next May.
The network will air 12 episodes of 24: Live Another Day as part of its new directive to air event programming in the summer as a way to tie together the regular seasons. A miniseries from M. Night Shyamalan called “Wayward Pines” will air after the run of 24, which will (naturally) feature the return of Kiefer Sutherland.
The 24 producers “always had the idea of maybe someday doing feature films, but as got into it they all agreed 24 being compressed in two hours is not 24,” Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters today. “A light bulb went off with (former Executive Producer) Howard Gordon. The spine of the 24 episodes is about 12 hours. Those were big events that occurred and little connective tissue in between.”
Unlike what happened in the regular series — where each episode represented an hour in Bauer’s action-packed life — the new version will jump around during the day, Reilly explained. And the star power could be better than ever.
“A lot of who’s who in Hollywood wanted to participate in this,” Reilly said.
Asked why the show was cancelled in 2010, Reilly admitted that it felt like the right time — at the time.
“We wanted it to go out strong,” he said. “We didn’t want to keep it limping for two more seasons.”
Though Reilly says he doesn’t envision 24 becoming a regular series, he won’t rule out its “franchise-ability.”
“People are that much more excited about this,” he said.
