After watching this movie, I am wondering how did the producers come up with this name...

They were actually using the SFU campus to film it? ( lecture hall, washrooms, fields) and Burnaby Lake ( clearly visible Metrotown towers )

The original was really good - bit of a sci-fi classic. It was sort of a cold-war analogy thing... presumably this remake is a similar analogy of our times. I'm scared that it'll suck but I still want to see it, just to see how they handled the "remake".

Haha I think his Chinese was okay. At least he was actually understandable. Does anybody remember Robert Downey Jr's attempt at Chinese in Tropic Thunder? THAT was bad.

I agree. I think the concept had a lot of potential but the ending left a lot of questions unanswered. I would say that it was entertaining but don't expect any aspect of what happens in the movie to be logical.

The ending was SO Hollywood. Klaatu decides that he's going to save the human race because he sees "another side" to them after watching Helen get all emotional when the kid is about to die. That's so ridiculous! I think I might have been more satisfied if he had just allowed the entire human race to die. Also, there was a lot of product placement - McDonald's, LG, Microsoft, Honda, etc. And how come the U.N. did NOTHING? I understand that the U.S. was trying to keep everything secret but shouldn't something have been done?

The ending was the main reason why i hated the movie.

So everything stops, and the credits go on.

So, what does that mean?? Does the human race know why the human extermination stopped? Did the world go to peace? Did the world leaders understand the presence of the aliens? Or the fact that the human race continues to be 'destructive' will lead into a sequel??

I hope not...i don't ever watch a sequel of a first bad movie.
