One of My First Pictures - *Warning* Noob Shot
One of the first pictures I took with my new camera....mind you I still have no idea what I'm doing yet lol...but I'll have more time to start reading up during my 2 week vacation next week...that and the photography course I'm taking in the new year should help :D
But for now....here's a major amateur shot from my patio the other night

very pretty!
you have a nice view.
Thanks guys..
My gear for now:
Nikon D90 Body
Nikon Nikkor 18-200 VR lens
Should be adding a 50mm F1.8 very soon :)
As far as settings go....I dont know...hahaha...I was playing around with the camera in manual mode trying out a bunch of different things...and these are the best ones out of the bunch - many more horrific/dark/crappy pictures in the set though - thank god for Digi SLR...
Here are a couple more from the same set....the other side of the view :D

Nice Pictures! I am also a photog newbie, but I find that the first image is a bit too busy. It's hard for me to find a focus point because of that.

It would've been cool if you did like a 30 second exposure and got the tail lights of those cars and nothing else :)

That's a nice view! I'm learning how to use a DSLR too, the manual settings can get so complicated! :P

looks good and nice view man !
Thanks guys..
I actually went on my first little photo shoot around my area yesterday while it was sunny out - gonna post some pictures up later but I definitely have some questions about why things turned out the way they did...cuz I dont think I got any cool shots...I had some cool ideas, but they didnt come out as I had imagined lol...some ok/good'ish pictures...but nothing great...
As for your suggestion niforpix, great suggestion...I'll set up my tripod and do a long exposure the next time theres a clear night.

great pics and I'm very jealous of your view! I'd say try adding a bit more contrast/saturation in PP, you might like the results!
