undercoat later?

Originally when I got my car three months ago I wasn't planning to keep it after the lease but now I'm planning to keep it for as long as I could... can I still do an undercoat later or does it HAVE to be done when you get the car

It should be done when brand new, I would wait until summer and do it. Make sure the underbody is clean of dirt, salt etc and then do the undercoating.

there are some places on east kent that can do undercoating. Wait until summer, clean your car and make sure your car is dry underneath, then bring it in

Krown is a very good undercoat product, it is the penetrating (soak in) type of undercoat. They offer a truly AWESOME warranty, only drawback is it's kinda far. Closest Krown local to GVRD is in Squamish. But you can make a day trip of it, if you feel like driving the Sea to Sky Highway on a nice day.

Always do your undercoats in the summer, in case you didn't hear that enough already

Undercoating your car here on the west coast is pretty much a waste of money. Even though we do see some poor weather in the winter and do get some salt / brine laid on our roads, it's not enough to cause your vehicle any issues. Case in point, my Passat has 180,000 kms on it and was originally from Ontario where winters are way worse than here and yet the rust on the bottom of my car is very minimal. If it makes you feel better, go ahead, but make sure its done during a hot spell as undercoating a damp undercarriage will inevitably trap moisture and then you will have an issue.
