Currently I ordered something online which is being held by customs. DHL told me to fill out a One Time Power Of Attorney form which contains "Value of goods" (lower amount then what i paid to avoid higher fees), "importer of record" and "cargo control number"

where the hell do i find this information? when using online tracking, i could only find the airwaybill number!

i work at dhl. if you want to you can get the paperwork from the ricmond depot and take it over to customs to clear it yourself. im not sure how much you would save but i see people doing it everyday. it only takes them a few minutes and you can pick up your package right away.

for future reference and to save yourself the hassle, ask them to ship by USPS, same as Canada post.
