Just did a quick wash with ONR once again. Second time i've used ONR and it still amazes me. I just washed this as a favour for my sister, her car was filthy and I was bored so I might as well. I picked up the ONR and 2 grit guards from icanpolish.com. Bens a great seller, and will definitely buy from him again, he has great prices and even walked over on Christmas eve to meet up with me to deliver the products! I would highly recommend buying from him!

-Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine
-Sheepskin Washmitt
-Grit-Guard x2
-2.5 Gallon Wash bucket x2
-Numerous Wal-Mart Microfibers to dry

I don't know if you are already doing this or not. But you can also take a 32oz spray bottle to mix it with ONR and water and spray it on the car first before washing it; that way it will further reduces the chance to induce scratches.

ps - very nice job though. my car is dirty as hell too, too cold and lazy to wash lol

Thanks. Yeah I was aware of that, I'm picking up a makita and a sh*t load of other detailing supplies in the spring so I'm not that worried about marring the paint. None of the cars in our family have a good finish so I have lots of work to do.

I was out there for probably 45minutes because I took pictures in between. Without pictures probably 30minutes for me because I'm slow. It's quicker than a normal wash imo. Even with the drying. I'm probably going to pick up a 3L jug of this and use this as my normal wash method even during the warmer months.

How'z the Grit Guards fit in your buckets? is it too tight? too loose? Mine is a little loose and tends to spins sometimes.

and you should look into the Big Blue drying towel instead of using Numerous Wal-Mart Microfibers to dry

It fits in pretty well. They are two and a half gallon buckets. It's not super tight in there but it sits at the bottom. It can spin around but usually doesn't. As for the drying towels. I'd love to, but I haven't put my order in for a bunch of stuff yet. I'm waiting till I get a big enough order where I get all of my stuff. I just got the small wal-mart ones last year when I wasn't really into detailing. They take a while longer but they do the trick. In the summer months I usually just blow dry the car.

I do this on the side skirts/bottoms of the doors if its REALLY dirty

yeah, during the summer i'll use it as a prewash. It gives you less of a chance of marring the paint when washing.

Great job, I detailed my car with Meguiar + Portercable before all this snow... wish it'd go away soon so I can keep the car clean!!

Even then its probably not worth it since it will get dirty right away once its driven

thats true but it's nice to have a clean car once in a while. And to get the road grime off is nice, that way it doesn't build up as much.

^ 1mm of road grime and 1cm of road grime.......

they all come off when you give it a proper wash, why bother.

+1, Ben is an awesome guy to deal with. He met up with me the day after I told him what I wanted. Walked over to meet me at a spot on Christmas Eve as well! Would highly recommend him. I guess next time you can order through him. I'm probably going to pick up a 3L jug of it once I run out. ONR is so versatile, clay lube, car wash, interiors, door jambs, wheels, APC when used with Power Clean. You name it! Plus it's a lot more economical which makes me feel better about cleaning cars. Optimum did an awesome job with this product.

You could also pick up some optimum spray wax to use WHILE you're drying each panel

when drying, should you just use a circular motion and then have it still a bit wet? or completely dry the entire surface of the car?

Completely dry the surface. Don't go in a circular motion, try avoid that
