I liked the grip on my 10D so much that I picked up a BG-E2N for the 20D (thanks to Broadway Camera in Van, I got a local Black's to price match it... $189.99 WITH TAX )...now I'm really tempted to pick one up for the 30D...but I know I shouldn't haha

for that price i hope you got an extra battery.

edit: Never mind, just checked the prices at some places in the states. That thing is such a ripoff, but such a useful item especially if you have big lenses on your camera.

Actually, I prefer a gripped body even with relatively small lenses (ie: my 50 1.4). The 20D it's going on is usually home to my Sigma 10-20, though...and my 10D usually has my Tamron 17-50 on it.

As for the price...I'd like to see anyone find it cheaper in Canada...I checked with a few local stores (McBain, Vistek, Black's, London Drugs, etc) and most wouldn't even pricematch cuz they said it's way below cost (a couple showed me their screens to prove it).

As for buying it from the States...by the time you add in exchange (especially at the time I ordered mine), shipping and taxes, I doubt you could find one much cheaper either...
