anyone have a canon 430ex receipt

that's still under warranty? i bought mine less than a year ago from adorama. cant find the receipt. only used max around 50 flashes and it decides to die on me today. did 10 flashes or so today and it just buggers out.... i cant find my receipt if my life depended on it. just the warranty card....

anyone have a receipt from anywhere? thnx.

actually it was less than a year. last summer time it was bought

never mind, i got adorama to print out another one for me.

anyone knw where to send this thing for warranty? would i have to ship it to canon in calgary or one of the local camera shops would do? thnx

you should give canon a call before you ship. This way they will be expecting your flash, as well you'll be issued a service ticket for the repair.

yea i'll definately give them a call before i ship it. like you said, get a ticket so they wont be like wtf whos this lol

I had the same problem you did....

When it dies, did you check the batteries? For some reason, mine drains batteries really quick when I first got my flash. After several charges to the batteries, I get consistant number of flashes expected.

do you guys know if the same thing should be done for fuji - calling them before hand to get a service ticket?
I have a broken point and shoot Fuji, and i want to send it out to their repair centre but they have weird rules (i.e. they want me to send them a signed, blank cheque just in case something goes wrong or they need to charge me for the repairs). Don't really feel comfortable with that.

Can anyone suggest anything?

If I can recall correctly, since I live in Richmond and they have their repair centre in Richmond, I just brought my camera directly to them and they gave me a ticket right then and there. Are you back here in the Vancouver area, Dot?
